  1. My Storker's interior has more shiny carbon fiber. I had the pieces milled at Protech Composites. The folks at Protech were super helpful. It's also kinda hard to see in the photo, but I took some 1.75" aluminum c-channel and fashioned a real nice pair of arm rest sills. The edges are all nicely rounded. They are coated with PlastiDip for now, but I will probably have them powder coated when I take my headers/exhaust down to get their ceramic coating. http://i42.tinypic.com/mw8fm9.jpg http://i42.tinypic.com/nzmvl3.jpg
  2. Thanks for bringing me up to speed on the latest drivel from the unicorn worshippers. What will those loons think of next? Wish they would spend more time solving real problems instead of imagined ones.
  3. Force someone to listen to one of Al Gore's lectures on global warming? ...
  4. That's one mean machine! Is your Storker back on the road again? Please share your thoughts on your new aluminum driveshaft after you log a few miles.
  5. Frying is messy too. The oil splatters everywhere.
  6. That engine is a work of art! Not sure if I could pick it up though - getting old.
  7. Not insecure, not defensive, but do believe your comments are extraordinarily snobbish.
  8. "Storker"? Your snide and conceited remark was out of line and certainly what I would consider a brand comparison. I suggest that you re-read Rule #1 in the guidelines and rules section.
  9. Harness in, but not finished. O2 sensor connectors required male connectors, but harness came with female connectors. Also, the camshaft position sensor is the wrong type. I think it is for an LS1/LS6. I'll just have EZ performance mail me the proper connectors next week. I'll get some photos posted sometime today.
  10. New Easy Performance engine wiring harness arrived today. This thing is tiny (& light) compared with the GMPP harness! Everything is cut to length. I measured everything twice, so it ought to go on with no problems. http://i40.tinypic.com/9to58k.jpg
  11. How a fellow seven owner expresses his passion for his car by making upgrades is of no concern to me. :grouphug:
  12. It's a Caterham titled as a Lotus 7. They should call a spade a spade.
  13. Wireless is pretty reliable; especially if the receiver and transmitter are paired with Bluetooth. I am willing to live with my horn going off unexpectedly. Mouth and middle finger go off without warning all the time.
  14. Here's a prototype that I saw at SEMA this past November... http://i43.tinypic.com/2mrfz7m.jpg Buttons on a steering wheel are nothing new, but this product eliminates cords and transmits signals wirelessly. Sure makes things easier for those of us with quick release steering wheels. Personally, I would love to have my turn-signal and horn switches up on the steering wheel. The guy I spoke with at SEMA said they hope to get the product on the market sometime this year. Depending on price and reviews, I may get it.
  15. it's the faux carbon fiber on my dash.
  16. My LS3-powered seven gets far better mileage than my Zetec-powered Birkin ever did. Think I'm getting around 200 mpg or something close to that.

    Lotus Elise

This is the car that started it all; my 2006 Lotus Elise. I purchased it new after returning home from my second deployment to Iraq. Sadly sold it in 2011 due to an accident-related back injury.
