I prefer camlocks because they are easier to snap in each belt individually. Too much fiddling around with the latch-type harnesses.

Sorry guys, I'm not sad to see him go. One of the things I like most about USA7s is our common love for 7s, regardless of make. The fact that Terry blatantly and repeatedly bashed other "lesser" kitcars was clearly a violation of the USA7s rules. With this, I called him out. In doing so I critiqued his comments, not him personally. I wish Ford sold crate versions of their ecoboost I4 and V6 engines.

Having owned both I4 and V8 7s, I can tell you that they both drive pretty much the same until the throttle goes down. Even then, it is fairly easy to modulate the power in a V8 - at least it is in mine - tire spin is optional.

A 7 with a V8 is still a 7 - precision coupled with insanity.

V8 7 = machete

What are your thoughts on V8s in 7s? Pros and cons. Let's keep the talk focused as much as possible on the engines and not the brand of car they go in (e.g. Storkers). I am not brand-loyal to any seven (okay, slightly partial to Birkins), but do love having a V8 in my newest build. Not sure if I could go back to having an I4 regardless of the output (okay, unless wide-body Birkin). Getting these cars on the road is definitely a team effort. Skip (scannon) was always at the ready to assist when I was going through the hurdles to get my car street legal last September. If it wasn't for Skip, it probably would have taken a lot more time and expense to get my VIN assignment.

Thanks Shane! Spray-on PlastiDip is easy to work with as long as you spray it on in thin coats. The stuff dries to the touch rather quickly at room temperature, but it is best to let a finished piece to sit overnight before putting into service. My neighbor used PlastiDip on a set of wheels and the result was very professional looking. They seem to be holding up well.
