  1. I'll be there mid-morning. Steve might make it too.
  2. I'm thinking about coming too!
  3. These look like Tom's tires!
  4. Not sure if the would allow a car with a cage.
  5. I'd be there if it were over the weekend. PCA is there the weekend before an I wanted to go, but I'm (as are all 7s are) banned.
  6. You have to love the Geartronics system!
  7. The sound on mine has much to do with my straight cut gears and lack if effort in mic placement. There is an internal mic and optional external mic.
  8. AIM had upgraded their Smartycam to HD (no I don't have it yet) and its super easy to use. You can connect it to your RPM signal. The rest you can do with GPS. It all works automatically. A good system that you can expand if you want to.
  9. Yikes, I just velcro my AIM external mic to the backside of my dash and roll with it. The wife makes me turn the sound off when watching my videos in bed at night anyway.
  10. Unfortunately I can't get away on weekdays. Sorry.
  11. Problem solved. Removed the unused heater hose (heater taken out for lightness). Ran all day in 95 degrees. Also set the ecu to run just a little richer and put in Iridium plugs. The car seems no worse for the wear. Won the Time Trials today with IMG Racing.
  12. I also have the Prodigy RF. It's easy to use and works flawlessly.
  13. Looks like a blast. I love the orange CSR200.
  14. Head gasket looked OK. I replaced it anyway, as well as the ARP head studs. I still suspect it just overheated due to air in the cooling system.
  15. They sure beat the heck out of my carbon fiber steering rod wraps.
  16. I've always thought Tom's MB-Racing magnesium wheels were the sexiest ever. I never got them because I read somewhere they had to be crack tested every year. Tom has proven that to be fiction.
  17. So, here is what I did to the motor when it overheated. The strap of the spark plug burned off and bounced around a bit in the motor causing some minor damage to the head. Fortunately, we were able to clean it up OK. http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/IMAG2030_zpsdfb93bef.jpg http://i913.photobucket.com/albums/ac336/blubarisax/IMAG2032_zpsfe8e78e0.jpg
  18. Come camp with us at the races! I've got a big RV camping space reserved, with plenty of room for tents! The event runs from Friday, August 30th through Monday September 2nd. There are races Saturday and Monday, with a huge car show on Sunday. If you have not been to the vintage car races/show at Lime Rock, you are missing out. We will get in Friday afternoon and leave Monday mid-day. The racetrack is about an hour and a half from NYC. Easy day trip if you are not up for camping. Come join in the fun, you'll be glad you did. http://limerockhistorics.com/
  19. My Cosworth has forged pistons, rods and crank so that should not be an issue. My 13:1 compression (running 100 octane) would likely have to be changed though. It's not easy to keep one step ahead of Tom and Mike!
  20. James, I'd be curious to know if the supercharger would work on a Cosworth Duratec and if they will sell it separately. Have fun!
  21. I wish they had shown a picture of the engine bay. Would love to see the setup. Rotax baby!
  22. Dave,

My muffler is the standard caterham one that came with the car. I added a "vortex" baffle that I found on Jegs. It's a cone that looks like a sieve and quiets the car a few db. http://www.jegs.com/i/Dynatech/329/772-32520/10002/-1

  23. Just watched the video of the overheating. Temp was only about 100 C when the overflow tank puked out coolant. Headed to the shop tomorrow.
  24. Thanks for all the tips. I pulled the new plug after running all day yesterday on it and it looked fine. I hope it's just vapor lock. That seems to make sense.
