  1. This car, the extra T-9, trailer and all wheels are sold. Thank you for your interest.
  2. Thanks guys. Even when the new owner came over to drop off the check he asked Where the heck do I find a place to park? They have NO PARKING signs in front of your house!*?> I need to get down to 2 cars and one must have a back seat for the grandchildren ;-) So I am looking for a car with a back seat that will be fun and fast on the track and smooth and comfortable for long drives. Think 2008 -13 M3, a 2016 M235, a 2017 M240 or a 2015,16 335M or 2017 340 M Anyone know much about a (don't laugh) NEW, 2016 Volvo V60-T5R 325hp / 370tq? It is really comfortable and fast in a straight line. Quiet at 70 mph. I just have not had the chance to really test the brakes and the exit ramps ;-) You will likely be seeing my car at NJMP in the future. Maybe even Karen and Buddy with the new owners as well.
  3. *SOLD*SOLD* Car, Extra wheels and Trailer are all sold. Photos taken 7/18/17 http://mjdtopsites.com/web_app/user_files/105/uploads/IMG_8492.JPG
  4. Gale, Dam, That is one great looking car. http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gall...2_itemId=28094 http://www471.pair.com/stalkerv/gall...2_itemId=25138
  5. I would like to see the smile on his/her face on their first drive.
  6. What a great looking car. Good luck finding the right buyer.
  7. Croc, Thanks for the nice intro. Buddy loves to see his name in print. It seems that Ebay is having problems with my ten day listing. It has had something like 500+ visitors in two and a half days and when I looked at the back end; it says the listing ends in five hours. It just went live on Saturday! Maybe it is due to your post ;-) Than you very much. The Ebay supervisors' response was that "We see you listed it for ten days. We don't have a way to inform all of the people "Watching" the listing that our system broke. We are sorry for any inconvenience. You can relist it at not charge after it expires tonight." For those of you that were watching, it will be relisted. You can see additional information at http://www.topdocsracing.com or contact me directly md7@7mds.com Thanks for looking.
  8. I have purchased a few items from RockAuto for my 7 as well as our other cars. They have been great to deal with, offer a large selection and ship promptly. Give them a try next time something breaks.
  9. God to see that none of the air bags went off. Looks fixable to me. But I don't have the equipment to straighten the frame if needed. Replacing the left suspension doesn't seem like a big deal. Can you get a look at it?
  10. I can say that as I passed it seemed Dave was headed straight back to the track and me. I just went as far right as I could. Glad he was alright.

  12. Hi all, Many thanks to Tom & Mike for setting up this event for the 7th time. Great company, fun driving together and no serious incidents.... what could be better? Michael, Karen & Buddy
  13. SSA Do you ever get over to Bethesda or Great Falls, VA?
  14. I just got my newly painted fenders, nosecone and bonnet back from the painter last night. I hope to have them on the car by Thursday at the latest as we are off to Summit Point on Friday. Will post fresh photos then.
  15. Bob, Dermott and I plan to come once his car gets here and tagged likely by mid to late June as he and I plan to be attend the eighth(?) Annual NJMP July 4th even. We might even be able to coax Norm and Scott to join us at Katie's. What about the contact info for the red Caterham that was there a few weeks ago. That would make six 7s. Anyone else you can think of?
  16. It almost looks like Dermott inspecting the truck. I like the SAFETY ORANGE spare wheel. I guess I will be seeing it up close in about a week. Maybe I can get him to bring it to Kates cars and coffee and have three Sevens there.
  17. Does it have the long or short input shaft? I think Caterhams use a long and Birkins use the short shaft. More T-9 info here http://topdocsracing.com/pdf-links
  18. Seb, The car looks great. Are you running 20 or 23" tires?
  19. Skip, I will enjoy having another Seven in the neighborhood and maybe at Summit Point. This makes 7- Sevens within 45 miles of Bethesda.
  20. Kit cat asked me to dig up my engine build info: This is not your basic Zetec. My original Zetec was sold back to Mid-Atlantic Caterham Then we added: New Zetec Crate Motor 995 TWM Throttle Bodies 2,395 from 1st motor Pectel Mgt 1,500 from 1st motor Add parts 4,880 Assy & Dyno 2000 Lighten & Bal 40 Flow & Porting 700 Port pump 75 Dipstick tube 75 New parts: Rod Brgs 25 Main Brgs & Thrusts 60 Rings 100 Pistons 520 Rods Ultra Light 750 Springs 100 Int V 65 Oil Pump Gears 220 Gaskets 80 Plugs 40 Cam Blt 50 Water pump 65 Belt Tensioner 50 Rower Cam st3 420 New Parts 5,535 LABOR 2,890 Engine Total 13,310
  21. Croc, Thanks for the kind words. Owning and driving a Seven is only part of the experience. Sharing the experience with others will be the part I will miss the most. Who knows how long it will be till the right buyer comes along. Then again maybe Kitcat will be correct. Every time I walk into the garage I know how much I will miss it.
  22. Mike, Thank you for the comments. I don't know why I did not include that info with the first post. 1st, Both T-9 transmissions were rebuilt as needed by John Espisito at Quantum Mechanics in Oxford CN. Then I ASKED GEORGE ALDERMAN of Mid-Atlantic Caterham TO CHECK EVERY NUT, BOLT, RIVOT AND MECHANICAL PART AND REPAIR OR REPLACE ANYTHING HE FELT WAS NEEDED. THIS IS WHAT i PAID FOR: CHECK HEAD AND DROP PAN INSPECT BEARINGS OIL AND FILTER CHANGED REPLACE BELT TENSIONER AND BELT IDLER PULLEY REMOVE AND REPLACE HEAD SET CAM TIMING CHECK HEAD LAP, GRIND ADJUST VALVES REPLACE REAR WHEEL BEARINGS AND SEALS TURN REAR ROTORS REPLACE FRONT BEARINGS, BRAKES AND VENTED ROTORS REPAIR FLOOR, REPLACE RIVETS UNDER DRIVERS SEAT I AM HAVING THE NOSE, FRONT CLAMS AND AND A NEW BONNET (FROM TOM), AND ROLL CAGE AND ROLL BARS PAINTED IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS. ALSO RE-STAINING LEATHER SEATS AND REPLACING DASH SWITCHES WITH NEW. All should be finished by June1.
