  1. i was considering a cb setup in the 7 for the trip down to the Dragon if there was a caravan. have to figure out about a headset with a single earpiece.
  2. I find my caterham(sic) to be very predictable when I overpower the rear. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/rofl.gifhttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/lol.gifBoxologist2006-12-29 14:55:11
  3. depends on ur level of mental illness. for the most part, my Caterham gets used as a daily driver in niece weather. but i have a sealed lot at work, and it was bought with the intentions of driving it for pleasure not staring at it. but its a 4cylinder, which is great for it weight. if i was using a Seight with the rediculous torque from the tap of throttle, i would be afraid of driving it. and driving a BEC would not please me as well keeping the rpms around 5000rpm (same applies to the caterham 6 speed). i really believe u need actual seat time before u make this decision.
  4. i run 18-21 psi on my avon zr1s. u don't ned the high psi in our tyres becaus ethe car is so light. i run just under 40psi on my subarus, and they are 2.5x the weight.
  5. hopefully i can swing by sometime next year when the weather warms up. next closest time i would be out that far in NJ will be a drive from Bear Mtn to the Hawks Nest.
  6. Hey Al, did u mount the wolo light bar yet? i want to see how that looks with a jill judd half hood that i believe u have as well. edit: duh about about the previous comments http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/lol.gif , do u have any pics of it all assembled from the rear? what do u plan to do about the lack of drain plug on the sierra tranny, will exoticars tap out a drain plug for u? 8. i am offering advice to a coworker of mine to to a FF build since he is too big to fit in a 7. i believe that FF has updated their unit to accept the previous mustang. if its possible to slip an SVT supercharged Cobra drivetrain in there, it should have the performance to back up the looks.
  9. probably cam duration and compression ratio differnces. i'm not solid on motorcycle tuning.
  10. hey, Al, did u mount the wolo lights? how did it look with the Jill Judd hood?
  11. my right brake/marker went out and i don't have (can't find) my build manual. teh number was not on the bulb base, can anyone tell me what model # it is. i put a 2357 in, and the marker works, but not the brake element.
  12. make an extra meal package/t-shirt option. there may even be some gray market aparel. apparrel. in peril? clothing, whatever.
  13. is it me or was he overdriving the cooldown lap as well?
  14. That was awesome. never knew that existed. Xcellent cap to the evening!
  15. looks schweet! if i go to a second exhaust with a side tip (to fit a Fluke rear diffuser) , i will grab one of those shields.
  16. on an 8.5" wide wheel 205mm sounds VERY VERY thin. 205 is normally used on a 6.5-7" wheel. i found 245-45-16 has some results on tirerack. Avon m500 ($98) and Continental contisportcontact ($167) may be best outside of an R compound. tirerack soes not carry the avon cr500 as far as i know.
  17. happy thanksgiving to the lot of you.
  18. http://www.motorsportsne.com/ has a list of classes by power to weight ratio.
  19. adding to the Cd list, the 1990-91 Eagle Talon had a drag coefficient of 0.29, and the 'boxy' Guiagro designed Eagle Premier/Dodge Monaco had a drag of either 0.31 or 0.33. its all air flow and turbulance. all se7ens wiil suffer from the outrigger front wheels, but the open bottom, flat windshield, and open passenger bay really do us in.
  20. its the 2 point mount thats allowing the vibration. adding a 3rd point to triangulate the shape will fix ur issue. though my drivers side headlamp does vibrate...
  21. Outside of Caterham, possibly the makers of teh Dax.
  22. c'mon, put some names with those faces! i can sorta guess who steveT is and Al is a pinoy... seeing steeve stuffed in there in the winter jacket makes me glad i have an SV. its not so bad trying to fit when wearing my heavier jackets.
  23. Life is short http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/images/emoticons/biggrin5.gif too true.
  24. for less than $50 shipped to the USA, that heat shield is a hands on fire level of steal. that may go into next years wish list.
