Cranky
I searched around and only found one thread on the topic and it didn't give me a good answer. I just bought Texas toll pass for my Caterham and I'm wondering where to put it. I could try the windshield, but I suspect that the fact that it is a heated windshield will cause problems. I'm also not keen on giving up much of the tiny window to another sticker. Any thoughts? Try it on the window anyway? If I do, how easy is it to move it? Put it on the plastic seat back? Stick it on the underside of the luggage cover?
Croc
Does Texas have boom gates on its toll plazas? If not then stick it on the windscreen and be done with it. It it fails then rely on them taking a photo of your license plate and matching it in the database. I just hold my ezpass tag and wave it in the air when I reach the gates. It does not work even half the time on my daily driver SUV.
rnr
I velcro mine (Bay Area Fast Pass) to the carpeting between the seats and above the center tunnel.
wemtd
I mounted mine to the right inside of the windshield (birkin/heated) over my sticker: minimal vision obstruction and no problems going through tolls. Have had problems in the past holding it by hand, when upside down it doesn't read. have you done any trial passes through the toll just holding it in prospective placements to see if it reads? coffee break
Attach it to the nose. It should be able to be read thru the fiberglass.
IDreamOfChapman
Attach it to the nose. It should be able to be read thru the fiberglass. 2nd this advice. The nosecone on a Caterham should not block it at all.
scannon
Mine is on the underside of the CF whisker on the left side of the nose cone. No problems, they always seem to bill me. I don't know about the Texas stickers but the ones here in Colorado cannot be removed from the windshield without destroying them.
