Disconnecting Rear Lights

The connector for the tail lights... does it have a lock/latch? It looks like it does but for the life of me I cannot get it to disconnect.

Well, as soon as you ask.... got it separated, now though... is it really supposed to fit through that hole? Pull the rubber grommet or no?

 

Perplexes me why these things are so big.... that’s what she said.

On one of the plug ends is a strap/bar that you push down on to release the two parts.

Pull the grommet. It will easily fit through the hole then. It’s not hard to refit the grommet.

 

I do this every year when I polish my Seven.

Now in all honestly you need the Steve (bball7754) expert input on polishing. His cars are mirror finish.

One step at a time... I have to wash a lot of grime off before I can even start polishing, I’m not sure I’m up to a real mirror finish but we’ll see, maybe I’ll catch the b-ball bug eventually!

This is the mirror finish you need! Yes it is reflecting the sky, the pits and the asphalt perfectly. PM Bball7754 on this forum for advice.
