There was a CSR Superlight variety that came in an S3??

For the person who wanted the ultimate Caterham 7 experience with Ford Duratec Cosworth engines the CSR models were created. These were made in three versions; the CSR200 fitted with a 2.3 litre Cosworth Duratec 200 bhp engine with five speed gearbox and made in the larger SV body, the CSR250 fitted with a 250 bhp version of that engine with a six speed gearbox and also made in an SV body, and the CSR Superlight with the 260 bhp engine in a diminutive Superlight car.

Croc,

Thanks for posting. Really interesting read, and answers questions I've had.

Now, I've read everything I can find, including Rees, Tipler, Adcock, Hawkins, Brooklands, many magazine articles and ESPECIALLY "Croc!" on the Lotus 7/Caterham 7, and this is the first time I've seen "SV" defined as "Special Vehicle" versus the more used "Sumo Version" and "Series V (five)" but hey, I'm always interested in learning.

Thanks again,

Taber

Favorite bit in the ads:

"Seat three abreast or have four seats in my chassis?"

"No, the frame design will allow only a small third seat - transversely in the back, suitable for a child up to about 12 years old."

Keeping with the history theme, does anyone subscribe to Absolute Lotus Magazine. There is an issue with an article on the 7x.
