panamericano
Seeing this fast one brings up a question to me. Which generates most/less lift? Clam shells or cycle fenders? The clam shells look obvious, but then we have seen cycles fenders with flat tops or flat with a bit of a duck tail (thank you Richie Ginther). Anyone tested both systems? Data? Comparable lap times? Croc
Was this MightyMike's old Stalker? Edited to add: Yes it was @rnr Hi Rahul - whats your next plan? I bet you have something interesting you are thinking of doing?
Anaximander
That's kind of sad that the California buyer of Mighty Mike's Stalker put it up for sale so quickly. Mike put a TON of energy into modding that car over the 6-7 years he was developing it into what it is. I think the second owner owns a couple of muscle cars like a Viper, etc. I have come to realize that here in sunny Florida, as is likely the case for California, that open cockpit cars are only fun to drive on temperate days that are becoming fewer and farther between. Folks in the NE, Upper Midwest and some parts of the NW have more comfortable days to play with these cars.
rnr
Hi Folks, it is indeed MightyMike's Stalker. I originally bought the car with the intention of making it a track car but realised it was just too nice a car to make the changes I was thinking of. In just 18 months road legal in CA I put on about half the miles that I did in 6+ years in my old WCM Ultralite but I just cant justify it as a pure street car since my wife cant drive it. In the end I decided to let the next person enjoy the Stalker as a truly spectacular street car instead. Current plan is to keep fixing up the Lotus X180R that I bought last year. I do imagine another Seven in my future - perhaps a bike engined lightweight edition to try something completely different from the Stalker. Anaximander
Rahul, I guess I am developing Covid brain. It just seems like yesterday that I read the fun thread you started of bringing home the Stalker. I guess this last 18 months has been sort of a wash in terms of adventures. Sounds like you had some fun with the Stalker which is all that one could ask for. Seems to be getting great play on BAT and I am glad for you. Good luck with your next project.
