stevet
A 'blat' is a drive in a seven. The word derives (I believe) from the noise the engine makes - well, some engines at least - when revved hard. Blat, blat. blat... Unless someone knows different... Al N.
Frappr is a free site/service that allows you to put your location on a map with virtual "push pins". Mazda set one up for the forum members. It's great in that allows you to find other owners/enthusiasts in your area. The density of Sevens in the VA/MD as well the CA areas is impressive, and certainly contributes to the activity/cameraderie of that region. Obviously, some of the regions are more geographically spread out it's more difficult to get folks together. But try, friends, try!
solder_guy
Blat, blat. blat... the feeling that the passenger gets when slung around while riding in a Seven. Rob
R1 Seven
When I hear the term "blat"...all I can think of is flatulence for some reason.

slngsht
Another new term... when people say "heavy", they mean anything over 1400 lbs.
Alaskossie
Another Seven-ism: My friend Bob in Colorado refers to his passenger as the "victim." Tom Meacham Alaskossie
xflow7
Also seen the passenger referred to as the Rev Limiter. And in case you browse any of the UK forums, SWMBO is a common one = She Who Must Be Obeyed
xflow7
Another new term... when people say "heavy", they mean anything over 1400 lbs. And "under-powered" means anything with more than 5lbs/HP.
spotcheck
Define "sorted"?
xromad
Sordid: seamy: morally degraded oops sorry.... :jester: tr.v. sort·ed, sort·ing, sorts... To reduce to order from a confused state 7s definition - Sorted: Properly set up and configured for peak performance.
Al N.
I also use sorted to mean "all the bugs worked out". As in...every Se7en that I've ever met required some level of sorting out...mine was mostly with the cooling hoses.
yellowss7
My favorite when asking a question about a noise or problem and the answer is TADTS = They All Do That Sir And a Passenger can also aptly be called Ballast.
drew...
With a Caterham the S vs. the SV also has a sorting affect.
rv-4mike
I'm with R1 Seven on the term "blat". Just doesnt sound like a very flattering description of what for me was an eye-opening experience the first time I took a ride in a Seven. Besides it's a British term (nothing against the British; one of my best friends is Brit; love to bug him over his pronunciation of aluminum). Personally, when I get my Ultralite on the road it wont ever "go for a blat".
