I wear hearing aids so I just turn them off. Helps with the noise but does nothing for the buffeting. I have a brooklands screen I want to try; I'm looking at proper aviation-style goggles to go along with it, with impact resistant lenses.

I switched from a regular windshield to Brooklands screens on my 93 several years ago and it is a big improvement, though I can't put the top up. Much less buffeting and I can wear a baseball cap up to about 65 mph. Just my regular glasses, never hit anything.

I drive with the top on, no doors.  Help a bit with the buffeting, and a lot with the sunburn.  I'm lucky that my rear window zips open.

I took the advice of another member here to wear lightweight 3M headphones.  This one model has half the sound reduction of the full-depth ones.  I went one step further and took out the foam.

I experimented with this quite a bit on my Westfield prior to the USA2005 tour.  The key was angle and length.  These two photos show both:

Ugly?  Yes.  Even worse aerodynamics? Yes.  Effective?  Absolutely.  With the wind wings in place, turbulence is significantly reduced.  Much closer to running with side curtains than to running without.  A caveat is that each type of se7en is different.  In my experience, the Westfield without wind wings is equivalent to a Caterham S3 with standard floors.  However, a Caterham SV with lowered floors is a bit better.

If you want to go down this route, my suggestion is to make mockups from wood (I used 1/8" hardboard and sections of 2x4) and find the angle and length that work best for your particular car.  Once I had the final combo, I supplied that wood template to a shop that does Plexiglas work and had them cut and bend them from polycarbonate to match.

Picky clarification, and I am certainly open to education.

Plexiglas = Acrylic = Perspec

Lexan = polycarbonate

You can shove Lexan through a table saw.  Much tougher, more-forgiving stuff.

I don't follow your post.  I wrote that I had a shop that did Plexiglas work make them from polycarbonate.  That statement is true.  They positioned their business as a maker of things from Plexiglas.  I had them use polycarbonate instead due to that material's strength and scratch resistance advantage.

This clarification was was not meant to correct you.  Your text was perfectly logical.

The clarification was for others who may have been confused about these two materials.  I have seen this happen before elsewhere.

It's better to post a description of an item and let someone search for it.  Months  weeks, days from now, the link to the seller may not be valid.  Or could be an impersonation scam.
