I picked up a trailer full of formula ford parts the other day, and this xflow was in the mix

No numbers at the back, where you find 711M, etc

But, at the front end....

Is this what it looks like?   Seems overkill for a 115hp FF engine

thanks MV

any idea what the difference would be, vs a 711?

obviously not much, or it couldn't be a FF block

I expect it has higher nickel content (stronger and heavier) plus it can be bored larger than a 711 safely.

....it's a fresh Arnie Lyoning FF build

There are no more Arnie Loyning engines being built.  He's retired and shut up shop sadly.  Brilliant engine builder.    Treasure that one.

no plans at present

what I got was a complete Lola T202, in boxes, virtually all new parts

problem is, the frame is crap, between the damage and sketchy repair attempts

I need to find drawings and specs before I can do anything

Oh no, I'm far too tight for such things. I believe you are thinking of Bruce K.

turns out it's probably not an Arnie motor after all

wrong paint job

so, I'll get it dynoed and see what it does

then for sale

So, an update

first, it's def not an Arnie motor

it is a fresh build, but prob 20 years ago    still has the Ford pistons, not the current CP items

had an oil pressure issue, as in none   priming pump on dyno wouldn't put up any pressure

finally figured out the plug in the oil gallery right behind the cam gear was missing

able to fix it without pulling the gear

and every gasket leaks   whoever built it only put sealer on one side

after all that, it did fire right up

108hp    so prob a good number back then, but not now

but it has a new home with a friend who's going to refresh it for his Dulon

108 is good for a street motor

But, if you want to run at the pointy end of FF, you need more

and the serious SCCA types will be touching up the valves at 25 hours, and rings at 50
