Frankie Posted September 29 Posted September 29 I'm going through a lot of medical issues so I have to sell my car. I need to get into something less wild. This car is scary fast! The Car was built by Tony Vaccaro president of Loony's car club back in 2011. He built it for a very close friend who passed away shortly after the car was built. Tony garaged it and maintained the car in a heated garage keeping it in immaculate condition until I purchased it later with only 3500 k on it. It currently has 5050 K. 2010 Caterham R 400 2.0 Duratec Producing 265 HP. The Avon ZZ are in excellent shape with plenty of wear. It has a 9 gallon bladder fuel cell which will have to be replaced soon. The window washer is not hooked up and will need to be replaced. It will come with a roof and side panels for weather running. Spare luggage tire rack that can be reattached. Livery is the popular British racing green with yellow stripe. I'm willing to trade for an Evora if someone has one. I'm asking $50000 K 1
Reiver Posted October 3 Posted October 3 (edited) How did you get 265 hp out of that Duratec? 265 hp was the r500...the r400 has 210 hp unless you have RTB's and a dry sump Edited October 10 by Reiver
Deman USA Posted October 9 Posted October 9 i see you said for an Evora, but would a 2020 GT350 Heritage Edition with 900 miles be of interest to you?
Frankie Posted Tuesday at 01:56 AM Author Posted Tuesday at 01:56 AM Sorry didn't see your other message. I'm not interested in a trade with your GT350. I own two other cars so I need the room. I'm selling my best buddy because I can't get in and out of it anymore without pain. So I'm looking to buy a less wild car like the Evora.

Reiver Posted Tuesday at 03:55 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:55 PM (edited) Oh.... lol, well, if someone said so...it appears as each individual talks about it, it gains more HP. Now if that is an r500 in an r400 ...but.... Edited Tuesday at 03:57 PM by Reiver
Deman USA Posted Friday at 08:15 PM Posted Friday at 08:15 PM no sale today on C&B. i wish you would have taken my 40k offer before I went a different route. glad you put a reserve on it.
Vovchandr Posted Friday at 08:30 PM Posted Friday at 08:30 PM (edited) Cars and bids max bid value was rather insulting for a well sorted Duratec car. BaT seems to be a better venue for 7s. Otherwise sometimes it takes a long time to find right guy at right time. It's certainly a bargain compare to what new models go for nowdays even at asking price. @DatsunRBZ was in the running too. Maybe worth a PM here. Edited Friday at 08:32 PM by Vovchandr

I noticed that a lot of the bidders were car dealers, or guys who have not idea what Caterhams are. Most of them just wanted to put there two cents worth and tells us how must they know or don't know. I loved it when Tony got into it and told them were the bear XXXXX in the woods. If anyone is still interested let me know.
Reiver Posted yesterday at 02:23 AM Posted yesterday at 02:23 AM (edited) Send it to Josh at Rockymountain Caterham... he takes a fair agreed upon percentage but can represent the car to those that know about them and, get top dollar for it. He sold my HPC for me and it went for more than I could have sold it for.... he is a trusted source. Edited yesterday at 02:24 AM by Reiver 1
