S7 Neophyte
Andrew, thanks for the info. The chassis number that I mentioned previously was incorrect. With a little more sanding we've identified the correct chassis number which matches the chassis number assigned to the ID plate. Andrew, the project could be in your garage, or perhaps somebody you may know may be interested. We're in Southern California if you know of anyone. PM me if you have any questions. 11Budlite
Any updates? Have you considered selling the car and engine separately? Bruce :7drive:
S7 Neophyte
Bruce, at this point there has been a few serious inquiries into the vehicle as a whole. At this point in time, I'm not inclined to separate the engine/tranny from the car however, if down the road these inquiries seem to not pan out, I may be more inclined to separate the two. S7 Neophyte
Steve, $15k for the entire project. That being said, next week (Christmas Week) I'll have more (better) digital pictures of more than just the chassis and engine. Unfortunately it involves me getting up above the garage and taking everything down in order to shoot it. It's a slow, difficult process when the doctor tells me I can't lift anything over 5 pounds with my left arm. S7 Neophyte
I was finally able to get the car down from the rafters and got some pictures of the car. Ian7
Nice photos... but seeing them again, (and I'm more than happy to be proven wrong), that gearbox and unreinforced axle are never going to survive BDA power levels. There are numerous websites where you could post that BDA for sale and realize its proper value. (No, I CANT afford it  just trying to help)
11Budlite
Thought I'd add some additional info regarding the rear axle. It's a cut down Lotus Cortina with a LSD. The rear suspension consists of four equal length trailing arms with a panhard rod. You can see them in this photo: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/2032989503_38e4dfa671560d24.jpg Not sure how well it would hold up to BDA power, but it certainly would have a better chance than the original TR-10 rear end and suspension set-up.
