How many different sevens have you driven?

1 . Some here might argue that's actually 3 in various iterations of my car.

Yes sad to say 1 here also, though in my defence I really wish I had `discovered ` these cars before I got into `normal` production cars. Also the old saying of `if you can`t beat em, join em` comes to mind.

I drove a right hand drive Cat Crossflow with cycle fenders and a allegedly more powerful engine than my stock 135 hp version. This was 2 years before I finally purchased my own Cat. Very little difference. The car is so narrow the driving position made little difference,tho the right side is vastly cooler (temp wise) than the left. The engine felt no more powerful. It was fun to watch the front suspension work (not possible in my clam fendered Seven).

 

My strongest memory was every one freaking out, asking questions, looking & pointing. And how amazingly loud and rough and low it was. Definitely not a stealth vehicle.

Five, two at Texas Motorworks (one of which is now parked in my garage), another for sale locally in Texas, Croc's SV and another that was for sale locally in NJ. Overall two Cats, three Birkins, four with a Zetec and one with a 1700 crossflow...hopefully there will be more to come, mine or other's...

Uh, let's see. Including mine, 1. I sat in an S3, but lost interest in driving it after a pry bar and shoe horn were required to extricate me.

I've owned two Birkins plus driven a Caterham SV that had a supercharged Zetec, so that makes three. I've had rides in several other Birkins and Caterhams, plus a Stalker and a Locost on tours and at track events.

 

However, I had never driven a Seven till the day I bought my first Birkin!

2) Amaroo Clubman - an Aussie 7 clone with a 1.6l 4cyl twin cam Toyota engine

3) Westfield narrow body with 1.6l Toyota engine (Australian)

4) Kyle's (KStier) red/silver Birkin with Zetec

5) Birkin IRS with Zetec at Dick Brinks' place

6) BRG Birkin with SVT Zetec test driven in Florida

7) 2004 Orange Caterham SV demoed at George Alderman's shop

8) 2004 Yellow Caterham SV - my current car.

Let's see 3 Birkins, 2(maybe 3 Stalkers, not including mine which never got finished)), 5 Caterhams (including mine), an S1, 2 S2, 1 S4, 1 Superformance, 1 CMC, 2 Locosts (one as far back as 2000), probally a few I forgot. So lets go with 18 or so.

My Birkin.

 

The DMod Ex Champions Westfield when it was Nissan Powered. You Know...the red one that was recently spotted by a forum member in Omaha .It is now rotary powered.

 

An EMod 7 that had a destroked 327 Chevy in it at the time.

It had previously been a DMod car with a Porsche 911 2.0 6 cylinder.

 

A Dmod 7 in the guise of a roadster.

A right hand drive S3 off a dealers lot in Spingfield Missouri, 25 years ago. And the Caterham I bought two years ago.

Surprised how easy it was to get used to the right hand drive.
