What do you wear for protection

of your eyes while driving your 7? I found some really cheap ($3) sun glasses at the local drug store. The glasses wrap around to the side very nicely. Jim

similar idea, but mine are prescription. since i don't have a windshield right now, driving without them is painful. I also have noise cancelling headphones on the ears. On long drives I wear a helmet

Body Condom! which consists of sponge ear plugs .. sunscreen .. long sleeve, SPF treated shirt .. and a tie around the neck, broad brimmed hat. I wear prescription eyeglasses .

Long pants - protection from transmission tunnel heat & exhaust burns; Long sleeve shirt - protection from sun & road debris; Earplugs; Hat with keeper cord and/or Buff - the brim acts as sun shield and the buff keeps wind buffeting from ears; Cheap sun glasses - my wife calls them old mans sunglasses, I prefer to think of them as emulating Enzo Ferrari!

I use wrap around sun glasses if I have the windshield on. With the homemade aero shield it is goggles or a helmet if there is rain.

I only wear it on the freeways, that way when people take pictures and video tape me from their cars they have a really shocking image to show their friends

Anyways... i had bought a set of goggles when i first got the car, they were terrible!

they fit nice and looked great and were even polarized...but 3 seconds on your face in any conditions or any weather, and you couldnt see out of them. i was happy when someone stole them out of the car!

 

i just wear partially wrap around polarized sunglasses now with a strap around the back..

not real great, but at least they dont fog up!

I have a real problem with watering eyes when driving the Se7en.

 

Most times I can get away with Oakley M-frame/Heater sunnies, but when high speeds and crosswinds are the order of the day, I switch to Wiley CQC tactical goggles. The Wileys come with an extra clear lens for driving after dark as well.

The cost ain't that bad and they are confortable. They come with two set of glasses. I bought the teinted and clear ones.

 

A plus is that they are "shatter-proof"

 

After riding thru a sand storm on the highway, I had to buy a pair of sealed glasses.

Without a windshield I wear normal wrap around shades, then sometimes a fullface helmet for long fast blats.

 

I did buy some goggles, WW2 style - not a good look for me. They are for emergency use only now

I wear Scott over -the- glasses goggles. (Motocross goggles)

 

I get alot of air in the face, and these prevent eye watering, dirt in the eyes, rocks and pebbles from hitting you etc. Pretty comfortable, great protection, and I found by putting black tape across the top half of the lens, they work like the bill of a cap, keeping the sun and sky glare out of your eyes.

 

Another good feature, the lenses are replaceable, and are available in many colors.

Does anyone know of any goggles that are reactive to light, I mean dark during the day and clear at night?.

 

I find I have to wear my clear visored bike helmet at night, because with my shades on its simply too dark.

Wiley X's can be purchased with photochromatic lenses - not quite googles but the do have a removable foam backing the seals against the face. Check http://www.aerostitch.com

i tried to get a set of wileys order last year, but my prescription is too strong in one eye. same issue with a pair of oakleys with ballistic lenses. occasionaly with a helmet. with a windscreen t is not a big issue for me, especially with teh doors on.
