NJ/PA Spirited Drive: Sunday November 15th

I look forward to rejoining the hijinks at some point in 2010. That's Bruce Wnuk's blue Europa, right? Great guy and very nice car.

Regarding "spirited drives", I can remember a moment on the Tail of the Dragon following someone and approaching lockup at a very high rate of speed. Fortunately, it was on one of our early AM drives and Laura was not a passenger. FWIW, I have found following Stalkers the easiest...I don't think those guys ever hit the brakes! :-)

Oh, you guys were up that far North?!? There is a great road between that area and New York...the one that goes to Dingman's Ferry. I drove it in the DD enroute to Monticello Motor Club a few weeks ago.

Looks like as great event. I love the Anniversary edition Caterham. Great pics of all the other cars too.

Loved the story of the trip home Croc. Reminds me of some of my misadventures in my Se7en. Except you didn't break down in the middle of nowhere. Keep trying, eventually you will get the authentic Se7en experience:). Jon was close, but he broke down before he left!

Next up on my list to follow is Jack !!!!!! LOL

LOL... How did he end up across the road like that! Looks close to bottoming out - something John and I discovered twice over some humps.

and Snake Bit starts up today and gets driven into work. unbeleivable.

Lucas Prince of Darkness strikes again. I think you need to exorcise the demons that possess your car. Either that or your car is a chick and you need to spend more on her to make her feel wanted and happy again :) Give her a good servicing. I am very lucky the way it turned out on Sunday - I had a very experienced navigator to get me happily lost on great twisting roads at night.

uh oh. jack won't like knowing he's to be cursed. maybe u follow me instead?

LOL...assuming you start? :D

Not sure of his last name but I am sure that was him. It was a lovely car :drool:and very nice guy to talk with. I want to have a CD soundtrack of the engine sound.

The drive was a good route - I definitely want to go back and do it again. When Bruce is back in town we can do a Sevens only run along the same roads.

I would like to thank Bill and Atwell for a great gathering and an extremely fun filled drive. It was great seeing Mike, Jon and Steve again as well as meeting Ron. The variety of cars was a beautiful site as well as a great mix. I personally think I'm in love with the Elise now, but my first Lotus love will be Jack's Caterham.

Ron, what a beautiful 7. Hope you enjoy it as much as Jack and I have enjoyed it.

Thanks for all the photos and the write-up, that looked like a fun time!

I picked up a Gerbing jacket liner and temp controller in anticipation of driving to NJ on Sunday morning to check out WTR and go along for part of the drive. Unfortunately as soon as the jacket started heating up, the clutch started acting up and I wasn't able to make it. :banghead:

Oh well, hopefully you'll do it again next year...
