just thought id post a few pics of the current setup of my car.

took off the windshield and got the cf windkick and mirrors.

one question, where can i buy some of the buttons that connect the middle of the windkick to the buttons on the body? (3rd pic) i want the windkick to be a bit more stable and permanent.

heres a size comparison to my maserati too.

drew... i got a question. i was about to put the buttons on the windkick and i forgot where the rivet went.

does the rivet go through the button to hold the button top on the windkick?

Just an observation from your photo. I don't believe you use the pop rivets in the installation of those buttons. The Dura Dot tool you have there is what is used. Sorry if you already knew that. You will have to drill a hole in the carbon to insert the button with the post then on the other side fit the bottom button. Use the dish shaped part of the tool on the top button, and the punch tool to peen over the post.

thanks, thats what i thought, i couldnt see how the rivets would help hold the button on.

When peening over the post be carefull you don't crack the carbonfiber part. Drill the hole one size larger than the post diameter for expansion of the post to help prevent cracking the carbonfiber part. Just my opion.

thanks for the help i did it yesterday, worked well. i had to use a hammer and punch to get post to expand all the way. looks good and the windkick is alot more sturdy.

ill have to go on a test drive to see how much the vibration of the mirrors has gone down.

next on my list is getting the removable steering wheel!
