Suguino's 7

Just noticed that Suguino's custom built 7 is back on eBay for $69.9K. I've always admired the car as a purely sensational work of automotive art and if I had $70K of liquid, discretionary cash available right now I would acquire it. Design/build time, materials, labor, fabrication, etc., translates into a huge pile of dollars, and for the price probably a screaming bargain. Has anyone ever heard how much money he had in the car at the time of completion or at least a break even point? Only curious.....

At $70k its cheaper than a new one with far less spec. Wish I had the means to buy it. At that price you could afford to put it into regular use rather that just a garage queen.

You'd never get to drive it. You'd be polishing it all the time. By the time you finished you'd have to start again.

It's a beautiful car, but I suspect taking out almost anywhere will result in the inevitable stone dings and road rash. Thus taking away from the purpose/beauty/value. IMO

That being said I still like it.

A nice collection of cars to compliment the 7.

Now if I could get a few of them in my collection, that would be nice, but that would take money so that ain't going to happen anytime soon.

If I owned that car I'd pick up a set of fiberglass, or better yet, some carbon fiber fenders/nose cone and drive the heck out of it. Save the aluminum stuff for shows.

Didn't he have a trick truck/trailer set up to go with it?

Yes he did, I believe it's a Volvo. Here's a couple pics I found:

Thanks for the update Tom. I thought I had a better picture of it at home but couldn't find it. I do have quite a few detail pics of the car under construction though.
