twobone
Parked up next to a GTR was a very interesting contrast in all dimensions. That car is massive in both weight and dimensions. It is all about electronics and horsepower. The engine bay is absolutly packed. Not an inch to spare. I prefer the simplicity of the seven and so does everyone over 30 years old. The under 30 crowd was more interested in the beast
slngsht
Yeah, seen a few GTR's in person, and they're freaking huge.
scannon
And heavy. There was one at a C&C here earlier this month. It was mostly ignored, probably because it was a mostly sports and exotics group with few younger people. I got passed by a RHD Skyline GTR on the interstate the other day. First one of those I've seen on the road. It had a great sound as he went flying by.
Sean
I like the technology in the GTR, but am not a fan of the car. Nissan had a cool cut-away view of the then-new GTR at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show. Looked impressive on the inside: http://i321.photobucket.com/albums/nn384/BBL-Sean/smileys/TMS40GTR1.jpg http://i321.photobucket.com/albums/nn384/BBL-Sean/smileys/TMS40GTR2.jpg http://i321.photobucket.com/albums/nn384/BBL-Sean/smileys/TMS40GTR3.jpg
Kitcat
I went to a track day at Mid-Ohio last week (in my M3-it was raining). A guy arrived w/his GTR on a trailer. I thot, wow, he will own the track in the rain. But my grandmother wld have been faster.
James A
The GTR is not my cup of tea, but man oh man what a car.
BusaNostra
Massive zhyte! I remember when the Japanese were making a small cars and selling it like a popcorn. Now, they went to American size Camaro with over 4,200 lbs. Darn my original 280Z with GTR Rb26dett skyline engine (weigh 2,600 lbs) compare to the new one is just a mosquito bite. I'm sure I can get more power than the modern V6 GTR engine. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/91/zzzpurple001.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/43/fallpictures036.jpg/ Edited May 24, 2011 by BusaNostra

WestTexasS2K
Leh Keen and Douglas Wilks won the One Lap of America this year in a GTR. Im sure it was heavily modded. He is a very experienced driver as well. He blew away most of the field on just about every track. He ran 10.6 1/4 miles so he is in the 800hp range. There were multiple GTRs in the event this year there were 3 were in the top 10 overall. The Ford Roush stage 3 Mustang ran pretty well too. KiwiBirkin
I went for 3 laps in one as a passenger at one of the track days I attend, it was a very boring 3 laps but dam quick, we even had the radio on and were having a chat while driving its was that detached from the experience of a trackday. I also went out in a supercharged Exige now that was one hell of a ride.
Hyper
The R35 is massive. Compared to the R34 it's huge.
MoPho
I've driven the GT-R several times, it is definitely a rocket ship, but not particularly exciting. It sounds like shit and the twin clutch gearbox is a bore IMO
