BTW I am not the creator. I just know that Randy from Blastolene is a member. I bumped into him at a GGLC trackday where he brought out the Seven that he built for his dad.

I met him and his dad, a retired dentist if I remember correctly at a track day and they had both the "7" and a GT40 replica out that day. The "7"'s pretty much his Dad's ride. His dad loved the snug feel of the seats in my "7" and I think that was going to be their next mod.

Hope the photo attaches. LOL

I should have mentioned that Randy's dad is tall and very slender because "snug" is about a 2" understatement for my fat butt. Not many people complain about "extra" room in a "7" seat. LOL.

Both Randy and his dad were really nice and I didn't have any idea of who he was for most of the day, just talking 7's and GT40's. Ex CA guy who is part of the exodus to Oregon and really talked up his part of it. I won't say where so it won't be crowded if I decide to move there myself. LOL.

Randy is a very talented car artist. I love the simplicity of swapping the steering over from top to bottom control.

Did you happen to see the episode of "6 Feet Under" where the blond gets her head wacked by a low light when she is standing up out the top of a Limo sunroof? DUCK JAY!!!! LOL.

The Mudhen:

Long before I owned a Se7en a GMC motorhome (the chassis the Decoliner is based on) pulled into the pits at the now defunct 2nd Creek Raceway near Denver. I thought it strange that it wasn't towing a track car. The next time I looked at it the rear of the RV had dropped down on the air suspension and the owner was raising a giant clamshell the full size of the vehicle.

He then pulled out two short aluminum ramps and backed out a Se7en. I thought to myself what a great way to travel and take your car along. The interior aft of the front seats had been gutted and left unfinished but it looked like he could have left most of the living room/kitchen and still had room for the Se7en. He called the RV the Mudhen.

When I bought my Se7en I recalled the Mudhen and asked around for contact info. When I found the owner he had given up on it and sold it for almost nothing. I would have bought it, put some living space back in and had a great toy hauler.

There a couple of pictures of the interior in this post:

I had an opportunity to see the Decoliner in person this fall.

The pictures just don't do it justice.

That thing is sooo coooool, even for a Jay Leno toy. It does prove though that some people in Oregon have way too much time and way too much pot available. LOL.

Way back (OK way-way-way back) when I was driving/racing MGA's I met a guy who owned a plastics company in SF. He had modified an older school bus by taking out all of the rivets where the flat side and roof panels were joined to the tight curves that attached the "back of the bus" and built reinforcing hoops to keep it's shape and strength. The whole back lowered on cables and with a couple of short ramps he could winch his fixed head MGA in and out. He had room for two rows of seats on one side and tire/tool/spares stored behind the drivers side. Wives, kids and work got in the way for the next few decades so lost track of him. I did like his attitude at the time though, since his answer about how he was placing was " if winning was important to me, do you think I'd be driving an MGA?

Amazing workmanship...cool.

Dirt track guys have used the old school bus idea for transporters for years...I used to see one locally where the back of the bus was moved up making a three row cab...with a rear door...the race car was on ramp over the wheels...tire racks above that.
