lucky dawg Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 After years of wanting, and thanks to a great wife, I ordered a new CSR this weekend. Should be ready to drive in the springtime. Can't wait. So it looks like I will visiting this forum pretty regularly.
JohnCh Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Congratulations and welcome! Are you doing the build yourself? If so, make sure to post photos along the way. People here love photos -John
Croc Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Congratulations! The CSR is a formidable package for road or track. I think you have made a wise decision. Which engine package did you decide to go for? Not sure if you are constructing the car or Caterham USA is? If you need the various manuals or CSR technical reference materials drop me a PM here and I can send you copies via regular email.
James A Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Welcome, you are in for the time of your life! Which engine did you get?

lucky dawg Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 I am in the Seattle area and will be having the car built locally by a mechanic who has done a lot of Caterham work. I don't have the time or talent (especially the talent) to do the build myself, though I expect to help some. I will be ordering the 260 hp Cosworth with a 6 speed. April can't get here soon enough.
JohnCh Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 There are a few of us in the Seattle area, but I think Supersportsp and I are the only ones who frequent the forum. I'm looking forward to seeing the car in the flesh at some point. -John
Kitcat Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 Welcome. The CSR gets my vote as the ultimate Caterham, especially w/260 hp. Looking forward to lots of pixs. What color/scheme? Mike M.
lucky dawg Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 The body will be deep amethyst (dark purple) with light gold nose and hood stripe.
jturrell Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 April would be a pretty quick delivery. The build process is a lot of fun. It doesn't require much talent - just a bit of patience.
