Kitcat
I just signed up on the SCDA website and asked to be in intermediate w/other seveners, as we did last year. Next I will reserve a place at the track. That is a very convenient location as its right on the track and you can park your car/trailer right nxt to the suites. bball7754
Don't see any price info for the suites on the NJMP site. Approx. cost per night? Never mind. Just found the online reservation for the suites. Looks like $109/night. Edited April 26, 2012 by bball7754
Croc
You can also call Danielle at NJMP on 856-327-7202 and she will oragnize reservations. I am registered for the event and will be staying at the track in one of the pit suites. I also have a garage reserved underneath which will take about 4 sevens. yellowss7
I just registered for the two days as well. I asked Ian to give me a heads up on the availabilty in the Intermidate run group. I know that last year, it filled up pretty quickly. So, to recap, the following are confirmed: Croc, Mike J. Kitcat, Mike M. Yellowss7, Tom G. Blubarisax, Karl J. Anyone else??? blubarisax
I'm registered as well. And, just to show my level of optimism in getting my car back on the track, I signed up for the Track Daze Lightning event the weekend before. Four days in a row on the track!!! Please pass me the Advil.
Croc
I recommend Aleve over Advil! I plan to be at Thunderbolt the same weekend to get my four days straight track fix.
bball7754
So if I'm counting correctly, 4 have signed up, 2 of which (Mike M. and Karl) are facing significant challenges to get their Sevens running by this date. Don't take this the wrong way, but driving 900 miles in one direction to run with possibly only 2 other Sevens is not quite as attractive as when there are going to be 8-14 Sevens. Are others still interested? Steve (the one in St. Louis)
DaveD
I have surgery scheduled for 6/15 to have my rotator cuff fixed. I am not going to be able to drive. I am still planning to come up and watch. Dave S1 #
DaveD
Sorry, I was looking at the wrong month. The surgery is 5/18.
Croc
Dave - Sounds like you will have a bad week next week! Wishing you luck for surgery next week - hope you recover in time to join us. Are others still interested? Your question is very fair. What happened last year is that most people registered in June in the last 2-3 weeks. I sent out a reminder note yesterday to everyone in the range of NJMP. I expect there will be additional registrations as we get closer. That may not be ideal for you however, thats how it seems to work out. Not everyone can control the spouse, boss, kids, etc the same way you and I can! Edited to add - I just checked my PM and I had 2 messages in there saying they want to come along and are sorting out the work committment situation. Kitcat
I have no doubt my engine issues will be resolved as I have 6 weeks to do so. Real concern is what the next "Birkin surprise" will be and will it prevent my attendance:).
yellowss7
I just talked to an SV owner out near State College Pa, that is registering and booking a Suite at the track too. Come on out Steve, Join the group. Tom

blubarisax
My wife has given me permission to drive her Volvo wagon on the track if the caterham is not yet re-assembled.
racerlrp
I'd still like to go but have a serious conflict with the Alfa Romeo convention in Toronto. Will be driving back from Toronto on Saturday and, assuming all goes well, could drive down to NJMP on Sunday. As I don't have a trailer or tires that like the wet this will be completely weather dependant. I'm an SCDA instructor and can usually squeeze into events at the last moment so will have to play it by ear and probably will do just that. blubarisax
Well, my chances of making it just went way up as my new Chassis Body Unit made it out of the paint shop last night and is ready to ship.
DaveD
Tom, You will have to put me down as aspectator again this year. I will be recovering from shoulder surgery. :banghead: I really wanted to drive on the track this year. I even bought a new helmet. My wife and I plan to come as a spectators again this year. MichaelD
Dave, I went through that several years ago and the broke the same shoulder three years ago at the track no less and had another surgery. It seemed to hurt even more every time I walked past my car sitting in the garage. Have a great surgery and a speedy recovery. The harder you work on your PT the faster and better the healing process. Edited May 11, 2012 by MichaelD typo
