Les Suave
Hello I am Les Suave, Suave's older brother. Les is short for Leslie. I was named after our father who was also a Les. Our mother was Dolly Bird. As of today I am living with Astro Bawb but I will soon be undertaking a rescue mission to save Suave from the dastardly clutches of Flyboi who has mummified Suave in 3M blue painters tape. All because of a little paint issue. Storkingly yours! Les PS - I am coming Suave! Edited July 24, 2017 by Les Suave Do you know how hard it is to type with feathers? Croc
I never thought to get my own Suave as a paint buffer? Comes up shiny? Hows his ass feathers? All jokes aside - I like the pinstripe effect you used between the green and white - did you paint it or is it tape?
xcarguy
Mike, Suave's feathers are all nice and clean. Amazing how buffing removes paint from feathers while, at the same time, polishes things up a it. The blue stripe is stripping tape from Any Automotive Store USA. If I get tired of blue, I can.... Suave
It was only around the bonnet scoop where I found it ruffled my tail feathers. However, the bruise marks around my neck from cruel Shane while he used me as "buff boy" will take a few weeks to heal! :bs:
Anaximander
Shane, Less aka Les aka Lester Suave, Suave's older brother, said to "quit using my brother's butt as a polishing rag flyboi!" If he wasn't helping me to change out my brakes/calipers on my Storker, he said he would be flying your way immediately to rescue his brother from your evil tape-hanging ways. xcarguy
Kept Suave busy today in the shop. Helping with riveting panels. All was going well till Suave started sneaking around and sniffing the zinc chromate primer. Ended up having to chase him around the shop with a butterfly net. Lester has taught little brother some bad habits.
Anaximander
Shane, Did you think Lester was a fig newton of your ignition? He is real and definitely Suave's corrupting influence. I have been threatening rehab if he doesn't stay out of my liquor cabinet. He says that he is bored and not getting enough action here in North Florida. I told him that when it cools down I was going to be autoxing the Storker and he would see more action but he says that it just sounds like words during this muggy Summer weather. He will get to see a little more action when I take my surface grinder and shape the new calipers protruding edges to not interfere with my lightweight race wheels that have limited clearance compared to my street wheels. BTW, both Les and I think that your car is looking extremely good! Les has been chiding me about how plain-Jane my car is looking every time he sees a pic of your new chassis and how beautifully it is coming together. I keep trying to tell him that I have no building skills but can sure admire quality from afar. Les says that you might have to drop the tag line about having one very broken Storker. Seems like "fake news" at this point. Hehehe. Edited July 28, 2017 by Astro Bob

xcarguy
Build, build, build . . . :smash: Kept Suave busy the past two or three days with suspension, steering, brakes and fenders, but the stork did misplace my rear axles; job security. Pretty sure he thinks he'll be out of a job once the car is on the ground. Maybe some spray paint and a little polish will jog his memory.

xcarguy
Busy the last couple of days with miscellaneous; windscreen, rear axles installed in the housing, longer wheel studs for the rear axles, rear brakes, fuel tank and a little more interior work. I was planning on sitting Super Chicken on the ground today, but Suave ending up being a bit of a problem. He disappeared about midday today and I found him later in the afternoon, drunk and passed out on top of the tool chest. It seems the stork has developed some serious chemical dependency issues since our pulling the car out of storage. I think he misses Croc. :jester: Edited August 6, 2017 by xcarguy
