A V12 Hybrid is just nuts in my humble belief but if I had the money to spend on something like that then maybe it would be fun but still you could buy a whole fleet of Leafs or even Teslas with that kind of money and not have to worry about scratching the finish on them and still have a smaller carbon foot print if your into that.

I dont think people who buy this will care too much about the carbon footprint. But the ability to get an extra 163 hp for just 125 lbs of low slung weight does make it a fairly attractive tradeoff especially at low speed acceleration.

Seems like all these supercars are getting into F1 style KERS... And thats cool stuff.

I really like the new one from Ferrari, the one from Mclaren looks sweet too....

Way out of the ball park for me thought.....

There was a clip on the news last night about the New McLaren P1 being the most expensive so called production car (asking price of $1.5M and limited to 375 units) in the world and that they have already sold the total production run from what the clip said. Sure wish I could live that type of life style to be able to afford these types of cars.

JBH I agree that they are the state of the art in engineering and performance and works of art but to me they just don't make much sense unless you look at them as art works which they truly are in my belief but then I would not buy a Picasso to hang on a wall just because I had the money to do so even if I had it but that is me. I still like the looks and would enjoy seeing either auto or painting up close and personal.

To me, those that get the most out of these cars are the designers, engineers, builders and test drivers. I bet they often sit there and think "I can't believe I'm getting paid to do this".
