was I too harsh?

Recommended Posts

Too harsh ? Not by a long shot.

What a weenie that guy was. He was in city traffic, and complaining of the buffeting! He had a windshield and side curtains. I would invite him for a ride in my Ultralite, with just those brooklands style windscreens. He would probably start to cry and ask to get out. Of course I wouldn't let him out, I'd take it to 100mph where the buffeting makes your hair hurt.

Yeah, well what did you expect from me? It's not a cute little car, its a freakin race car!!!!! No radio, No cupholders, Just a high reving engine and a loud exhaust!!!! The more rev's the better! And the wimp was English to boot!! I could understand some 'mericans not getting it, but only until you give them a proper ride.

I've never had anyone I gave a ride to at an autocross, say, "its too fast, i don't like it" ;>0 Rant off!! I'm going for a nice leisurely Blat. Yeah Right! Tom

Want a whinning knob that guy was. Kevin took our car around to 9 different stores for promontional deal that we had with our sponsors after the 1 Lap. He gave a few demo rides, the ones that were the most excited about it were the older women 60+ that all came back with smiles from ear to ear and not one complaint about this seat is to tight this thing is to loud. Nothing ranting about how much fun that was. ( And I can assure after that 5k miles trip there isn't alot of packing in the muffler. And at 9k rpm it puts most sport bikes to shame the noise is on the verge of painful.) Some people will just never get it!

Yes, its hot with the top up (so leave it down). Yes, you can feel vunerable when the chrome bumper of the 18 wheeler is behind you is reflecting the back of your head. Sure its loud. But - these are the price we must pay to have a 3.9 sec 0-60 (or less), handling that the mini drivers can only dream about and thumbs up from the bikers (who have a better understanding of "why?" than most).

"Adding lightness" precludes AC, ABS, DSC, DVD, 14 cupholders, 14" woofers, reclining seats, all the comforts of home etc. He needs to take his mini to a track day and tell us where he has the clearest view of the LSiS's on the track with him. It'll be our rear "bumper" as we drive by him over and over.

It's all about accelerations - right, left, forward and back. :hurray:

I bought some really nice tail lights so people like him have a nice time looking at them ;)

Makes me ashamed to be a Brit... he is, as we say, a complete and utter tosser.

And a wuss :ack:

That is putting it very nicely and not to harsh at all in my belief.

If he were to ever get a ride in any of our cars by any of us (which I dought any of us would take such a WIMP for a ride) he would probley have to change his drawers after the first turn (tail of the car hanging out while steadley accelerating) and we would have to clean the mess up in the seat that he was siting in. We would then have to most likely deal with his layer for scaring the you know what out of the big wuss that most likely drives an economy car that he thinks is a race car or wishes that it was and has no clue as to the abilities of a SEVEN.
