mrmustang Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Did I mention the chassis number, along with the numbers off the drivetrain (head/block, carbs, etc)?
mrmustang Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 I will start off the bidding $5000 $5001 :jester:
ihckb2 Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Does the vehicle have registration? Where is it registered? Does it have any leans? What is the serial # ? Record of build? Is it part of an estate? Is it stolen? Is it part of a seizure? I sure would not bid on it without more details. If its too good to be true ....... you know the old saying
lotusman1951 Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 Please check PMs for realist/cash/done deal offer-

mrmustang Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Turns out I bought a 1994 jeep Wrangler with a plow from this guy back in 2005/2006 I recognize his garage. Bill S.
Croc Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 (edited) It is gorgeous. It is just pristine. Immaculate. Like a brand new car yet to be sullied on a drive. It really is a work of art. So great....but what do you do with it? Its value in this Fleabay auction comes from either leaving it as a museum piece or starting to use it as intended. However, the moment you use it a delayed depreciation kicks in. What a difficult decision to make? Putting aside that, I do admire this car - truly remarkable time capsule. tedtaylor Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 what do you mean by "delayed depreciation"? If it can be bought right now for $26K, are you saying once driven, it's only worth $20K or less? please explain.

If it can be bought right now for $26K, are you saying once driven, it's only worth $20K or less? please explain. Pretty much, these cars are not investments, but toys to be used at will. As soon as you get a stone chip, oil drip, leaf in the interior, add mileage to it,etc and so forth, your "investment" just dropped by 20% just like any other car you buy off the showroom floor. Unless of course you were smart enough to buy a new Ford GT when they first came out. Bill S.
mrmustang Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 As always with Ebay auctions, might I suggest that before you bid, you check to the bidder history of the highest bidders to look for "irregularities". Just a friendly service announcement from the guy who bought the very first car ever listed on ebay (documented by Ebay I might add )........ Bill S.
Poorichard Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I had a FGT, great car but not as much fun as my Stalker!
Croc Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 And it is baaaack! Listed with a Buy It Now of $28500 compared to the previous Ebay "sold" price from the earlier listing of $29000 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Lotus-Super-Seven-aluminum-1990-caterham-seven-super-lotus-7-original-1-870-miles-all-original-like-/321379536010?forcerrptr=true&hash=item4ad3b68c8a&item=321379536010&pt=US_Cars_Trucks
