d15b7
this was the Group 2 feature race on Sunday of the VRG Historics last weekend at NJMP Lightning. I'm driving my Super Seven and Mike Clifford is driving his Ginetta G4 (the video is from his in-car setup). I'd won on Friday's qualifying race, with Mike winning on Saturday. this was the tie breaker, and oh my was it a battle!!! closest/best vintage race I've ever been in. enjoy! yellowss7
Welcome aboard or should I say back Todd. Loved your passes on turn one and turn 7. I now see what you mean by the High line thru the lightbulb. You just need another 25hp In that little crossflow to hang on with that Ginetta. Hard to believe he can get 185hp out of one and not grenade it. He was really ringing it out too. Nice meeting you on Saturday! Looking forward to some driving tips. d15b7
thanks! there were maybe 25 cars in the field? Group 2 is what I call 'mid bore' - it's 1.6 liter to 2.5 liter vintage production cars. there was another Super Seven, and another Ginetta, plus an Elva Mk7 (he finished 3rd and was the only car we didn't lap!). the lead Ginetta and I were definitely having quite a tussle and were moving through the field at a fair clip! Kitcat
Thx for the ride-along! What fun. Your brake pedal vs his accelerator pedal:). I liked your lines a bit more tho will try his next time, esp thru 5 wh/he early apex-ed to death and pinched off the exit there as well. Impressed by how well everyone played together, not just you two but pretty much the whole field.
TheDingo8MyBaby
Nice little battle there - looks like fun. Is your car a caterham or lotus? It is hard to tell, but it almost looks as though it has top wishbones up front which I assume wouldn't be allowed in vintage.
Croc
That was a great race to watch in person - I could actually pick out my yellow shirt in the stands Lovely clean racing - no leaning on each other.
