Ok guys and gals I have found us a hotel. We have 15 rooms blocked for us at the LaQuinta Inn and Suites in Kerville. Address is 1940 Sydney Baker, phone # is 830 896 9200. Tell them you are with the USA7s when getting your room. We have 10 king singles at 89.99, 5 twin queen rooms for 99.99 all are Non Smoking rooms. You have until MARCH 23 to get your room then the rooms will be released. The hotel is 2 years old and has had good reviews it is close to several restraunts. If for some reason you want to stay somewhere else you will have to make those reservations on your own. Revised route for the tour. Taking some suggestions from Phil Anderson. First day can be a full day but you can cut portions out if you have had enough.

Well folks we are going to make some changes. I had a phone conversation with someone that has more experience in the area and he made some good suggestions. Fredricksburg is going to be packed the whole month of April. This means slow traffic crowded and increased expense. The driving roads around Fredricksburg are ok but the Kerville and Gillespie counties have the best ones. So instead of staying in the Fredrickburg are we will be staying in Kerville the rooms are much cheaper it has good resteraunts and it is closer to the best roads. It doesnt have as much shopping and sheer charm as Fredricksburg but it is only 22 miles away if you want to go for a look. So we are going to make Saturday the main driving day. You can spend as little as or as much time driving as you wish. There are multiple loops so you can go back to your hotel anytime you have had enough. We will leave Fredricksburg area for Sunday touring. I would like to take group picture of the cars in front of the Lukenbach post office and hit some of the better roads in the area. This will allow folks to make Sunday a shorter day so they can travel back home and still get the best driving done. It seems most of the hotel managers that do groups are all gone for the day. Just hold tight and look back here on Monday. Most of the hotels are all within a few blocks of one another and there seems to be good supply of rooms.

Hotel reservations need to be completed by March 11. There is a 7 day cancellation for groups. So reserve your room then cancel by April 4 if your plans change. Group registration is USA7s or #1222. I set aside 14 rooms 3 of which are smoking. I am unsure which folks are smokers or not. If you are a smoker please take one of those rooms. There are also several rooms with twin queens if you want to share rooms and save cost. A head count for attendance would be good so that I can look for a restaurant for us Sat. night. Yes that one will actually go on the front. We have a larger for the rear. It is made of CF and is a really nice product. We were amazed at the quality for the money. I forget where Kevin got that but will let you know.

Kevin still has the poster. He hangs it on the toy hauler at events. Sponsors take up a good portion on the car but I am sure we can find someplace to put the USA7s sticker. Yeah we found a few 2.2L that we snatched up. We are working on a new supercharger system. We are building our own system with HKS fuel management. We are running one of the cars on E85 and are looking to get some decent powerband improvement over the previous car. We are hoping to get 75-100 more hp over the last set up. We will find out in about a month. Loren

Man that guy has some serious talent. Wood and I dont get along all that well. metals is easy to use in comparison to wood. I am not sure I would want to get in a wreck in the car. You could be pulling splinters from your A** for a long long time.

Gary I really like the Falken RT615 both very good for track and street. I have not run there Toyo RA1 but I know that they are very sticky excellent track tire and last a long time on a light 7. Keith has been running them and I think he would highly recommend them. Maybe he will chime in here.

Just remember you can have 2 Ultralites for the same price as the supercharged atom. When you rode in my car last time it was naturally aspirated. The supercharger version is much exciting. Mike we are building a new car from the ground up this year. We are using a 2.2l with the Rotrex unit that builds boost at a much lower 3500 rpm compared to the Vortechs 6200 giving us a much wider powerband. We are also running this car on E85. We are hoping to get in the 350- 400 rwhp range which should be a good bit of fun. You will have to get another ride for comparison sakes.

I know of someone in Houston arear that has an uncomplete Ultralite kit complete with engine, painted yellow that could be purchased for a very good price. Low 20s range. It just needs to have final assy. Brake lines, fuel lines, wiring etc. Most parts are there from my understading. Contact me via PM and see if I can hook you up.

love that concept myself. I think I have seen one made from aluminum in the Lotus 7 and the Independents book. Post more info on those kits. I bet you will get alot of intrest from this forum.
