  1. Maybe you should put this sign in your yard
  2. Seems like those 6.0s are hit or miss. Glad you've had good luck with yours! I had the turbo go on my Duramax which is 100% stock @ 55k miles. Had the dealership baffled and GM even said they hadn't had many turbo failures. Good thing the Duramax warranty is to 100k.
  3. What's the only thing that Lucas makes that doesn't suck? Vacuum cleaners
  4. My opinion is that the large truck market is the only place the shrinking 3 have maintained their market share. Toyota is making in roads with the new Tundra platform, but it will be a while before they start to really take over any market share, especially with them not offering a diesel option(which blows my mind considering they are a leader in diesel engines worldwide). Honda is and will always be a car company IMO. Just look at the ridgeline, unibody, awd, no low-range. It's a hacked up station wagon on 'roids I think GM is making progress, the Corvette, new Camaro, Sky, and Solstice are all good cars from what I can gather, and they have the image to go with it. The next 10 years will be interesting to say the least. I can only pray that some semblence of free enterprise is maintained in the saving of the shrinking 3......but I'm not holding my breath
  5. Nice setup! Is that the 7.3 or the 6.blow?
  6. Wait, does it do anything besides just playing with the switch? Because it says "Loading 0%" but never goes anywhere from that. Maybe it is made by Lucas after all?
  7. It's way overkill for hauling a 7, but I do love my Duramax powered crewcab short bed 3/4 ton
  8. It's been my experience that head bolts have a bit of "springiness" in them and they essentially absorb the impact from the impact gun. I've always had better luck with a simple breaker bar on the stubborn ones.

    Wtf

Am I the only one that sees the irony in this conversation occuring on a site of enthusiasts who drive and race home made hand built cars?!?
  10. That was awesome!! Thanks for sharing. I would like to have seen them work in realtime just to see what they were doing. I know when I'm working on something I always seem to set a tool down and then spent 15 minutes looking for it lol. Would be cool to see if that happens to these guys too or if they're just that good.
  11. Try http://www.flamingriver.com and see if you can find anything on there. They're usually the most expensive game in town, but once you figure out what you need, you can find it elsewhere. Also I believe summit has a decent selection.
  12. You just need to tune into your carnal redneck and it will all become clear....or smoky
  13. It's a diesel thing....you wouldn't understand :leaving:
  14. Yeah, bikes are gone. Sold the small block one for the 502, and then the 502 to buy a solstice GXP since his wife's back pain precluded them from riding much. Great guy, loads of stories. I make it a point to go spend an hour or so with him every time I visit.
  15. They're lower on the sides of the rollbar, blacked out. FYI, the boss hoss bikes of the neighbor were purchased and heavily customized. He tends to get a bit excited when he has an audience
  16. I drove Frankn7 to Virginia Beach from DC last weekend and the response from bikers on I-95 was incredible. I got so many waves, thumbs up, nods, etc I think a couple even felt threatened cause they decided to show off by doing wheelies and such. Oh yeah, and I got caught in 3 cloudbursts on the way back. Other than getting soaked from the waste up, the rain events were uneventful.
  17. I think the angle we had it at last night was better. The angle now looks a bit too exagerated...
  18. Hahahaha, that's great!
  19. I think a good compromise between the single sided and double sided would be to have the single sided with a single LED @ the end that stays lit and flashes when you hit redline. Gives the effect of a maximum and takes up less space.
  20. Too boxy IMO...
  21. That they're still just as worthless I'm gonna run away now before Mazda bans me
  22. I guess I should have prefaced my post by saying that only the first line related to what I quoted, the rest was just a general rant about the state of our country/government/society.
  23. In terms of our government, no, I'd rather be sorry than 'safe'. This bubble-wrapped world we live in today as "citizens" is preposterous IMO. We become more sheep-like every day. I wish the FEDERAL government would stick to defending our shores and delivering the mail. Let the local/state governments deal with issues so that when they make a poor decision, it affects their geographic locale, not the entire country. It's far easier to correct a mistake in a bass boat than a cruise ship. What happened to common sense?
  24. I love it! It might sound strange, but I've always wanted to do something like this for brake modulation integrated into the high mount brake light. ie so the person behind me can see how hard I'm braking.
  25. I hate MoCo cops, they all think they're above the law. They routinely pass me in the morning doing at least 35mph over the speedlimit.
