  1. That's my daughter's High School graduation weekend. Choices, choices, choices.............................!
  2. My picks in order of fun: Colorado (just about anywhere except Denver, too crowded); Fayetteville, Ark/Branson, Mo area; or Door County, Wisconsin (NNE of Green Bay) area although no tracks close by on the last two. Assuming some people trailer to the starting site, what do they do with the trailer and tow vehicle while they are out for those 3 to 5 days? Russ
  3. Hmmmmmmm. 754 mile road trip for me. It would be interesting! Russ
  4. Welcome to the mad house, Silk. Just pour a quart on 30 weight on the garage floor under the Stalker and you will feel right at home!
  5. I got a nice "Age and Treachery Racing Team" jacket (my car club) from my 7 and 7 got a new Union Jack emblem to fit in the nose from me. EviLRomeO, I'll trade you my high maintainence 17yr old daughter for your G/F. She can't be any worse. Don't forget she starts college next year. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Russ
  6. Ain't going to happen in KC 3" of fresh powder over solid ice. Bummer. But took the quad out for some quick doughnuts. That was fun! Russ
  7. Gbolt, Come to the Midwest Se7ens Gathering over Labor Day weekend in Kansas City and you can. My Locost got me a gift and I got her one too. Merry, Merry, Happy, Happy to all you 7 lovers. Russ Amos
  8. For those Bigheads look at Reid Tool or McMaster-Carr. I think they have something similar but not under that name, Russ
  9. Good Luck! I tried for a year to find one I could afford. Gave up and now going to put a Suzuki 1300cc Swift engine and Samurai trans in. I'll pm you , Russ
  10. F/S T9 5 speed with propshaft, pressure plate, disk, and bellhousing. From a Mercury Merkur. $200 I bought it to use on my Locost but I am going a different route now and I don't need. Russ Amos in Kansas City
  11. Boy, now that sounds like a great idea, Russ
  12. Slomove, we in the REAL states hate you. Russ
  13. Fayettville, Ark(NW Arkansas). has plenty of great roads. It is the hot spot for all the car and M/C clubs to go. Russ
  14. Good work guys. Yes the Labor Day weekend Midwest Se7ens meet here in KC is a go. Se7ens will be the "Featured Marquee" for the KC All British Car Show. There will be awards for the best three origional 7's and awards for the best three clones. That way no feathers get ruffled. If enough sign up I will have awards for a separate Locost vs Factory clone. So far 6 have said "yes I will come" of which 5 have finished cars and two of those are origionals. 9 said "maybe I will come" of which 4 of those have finished cars. Not bad for the first notice. I have posted on 6 sites and am looking for others. There are still several others that have not responded yet. The "7" , being the Featured Marquee, will be on the tee shirts and all the class awards. There will be activities on Saturday Including a cookout at my house for the 7's and the show on Sunday. If anybody is interested PLEASE contact me, Russ Amos
  15. Here are some pic's of a glove box I made to fit in the passenger foot well of my Locost: http://autos.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/Locost_North_America/photos/view/3ce3?b=9 http://autos.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/Locost_North_America/photos/view/3ce3?b=11
  16. My oil pressure hole on my 1300cc kent is lower rt front. I have had a lot of luck getting parts for it by telling auto places to look up early 70's Ford pinto or Mercury Capri 1600cc. I'm going to pull out the Xflow lump and trans and replace it with a Suzuki Swift GTi 1300cc twin cam and Samuri trans because I am tired of trying to find Xflow parts. It is a shame because they are good engines. Russ
  17. Looks like a nice trailer for the price. http://kansascity.craigslist.org/mcy/495390830.html
  18. Helloooooooooooooo!
  19. I think any kind of track day would be out because of not a lot of interest any insurance restrictions. Judging by the response of other forums looks like Aug 31-Sep 1 will be the dates that it will happen. Russ
  20. Well I am trying to generate interest in a Midwest Se7en Gathering here in Kansas City for 2008. All types of Se7ens are invited, be they original or clone. The Kansas City All British group has expressed interest in having the Se7ens as a Featured Marquee at the All British Car Show August 31 and Sep 1 (Labor Day weekend). Last year there were about 170 British cars there. A picture of a Lotus Seven will be incorporated in the artwork for the tee-shirts and awards for the entire show. The actual show is Sunday the 1st from 9am to 3pm. On Saturday, August 31, they will have other activities like, maybe, an AutoTest (a slow speed AutoX) or a rally or both. If we wanted, we could participate in those or do something on our own. We would definitely have a cookout and B/S session at my house (30 miles from the show site) on Saturday night. Are you interested???? What are your thoughts and suggestions? Or would you like to have another weekend get together on another date when we are just Se7ens? Please let me know if you would attend and if you are bringing a Se7en. Even if you have not finished (or started) your build you are invited to come. Please post on this forum so everyone can see your comments. Russ “Event Coordinator” Amos

  23. British car shows in Des Moines, Ia June 7, Kansas City Labor Day weekend, Fayetteville, Ark the 2nd or 3rd sat. in Sept., And don't forget the "Midwest Se7ens Gathering" in Kansas City sometime in the summer or early fall 2008. Russ
  24. You would definatly not fit in my book Locost. Look at Julian D's build. It is like a Locost on steriods and he is a big boy. It uses a 280Z for a donor. It is no big deal for him to go on a 300 mile blat in it. Russ http://autos.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/Locost_North_America/photos/browse/9eca
