  1. I've looked up the receipts and I'm pretty sure I've got LuK LSC272 that fits 2000 FORD CONTOUR 2.0L L4. I know I've never even looked at the V6 as one of the possible fitment options between slave, flywheel and clutch. Honestly didn't think it was a reasonable option. For the V6 it comes up as LUK LSC273 and looks the same as yours. If I'm correct in understanding that 10mm difference it would mean that the clutch would disengage sooner when you press the pedal? And grab closer again closer to the top of the pedal? If so that definitely explains my current symptoms. Looks like I won't need to keep trying to bleed the lines for any more possible trapped air. Edit: While on the subject matter I do advice fabbing up/adding a remote bleeder kit for the slave cylinder like I did. Makes it much more accessible and prevents from dripping/bleeding back into the housing.
  2. You're now making me question my selection of the slave cylinder during my Zetec fix. I ordered a 4CYL Contour I believe but the throw has never felt the same. I assigned that to a whole bunch of new and different components and changes but it could be something as obvious as this. Which direction would the 10mm go in? Towards the driver or towards the firewall?
  3. Personally I have a soft spot for the Atom. It's the reason I have a 7! Story is pretty straight forward. See Atom on TG and fall in love with a "dream car" Have a local get an Atom to further induce desire Realize Atom is unreasonable to register and isn't really affordable ever so start a Locost Look into a Locost long enough and you start to idolize a 7 Get a 7 However after owning a 7 and looking back on it all, you give me a choice between those two above and I'd pick the 620R. Change that I'd even pick a R500. Atom is a better track toy as Croc described in many detail. However a 7 is just a better car.
  4. Anker, THANK YOU. Looks like even though they look the same they are actually different dimentions. That changes my plans about ever trying to buy them. Even though I could machine then down to size, just doesn't seem worth it. Might as well make new ones. Bolt holes probably wouldn't line up either. Are they metal? Center "7" isnt removable either right? Makes me feel better about not winning an auction for prisoner centers. Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk
  5. Any ideas? I have a pending list going to be ordered, but experienced members can provide a good list of consumables or other good things to have on hand.
  6. So through the 7 ownership process I have so far discovered a part that's impossible to source - center cap for an SLR wheel. For whatever the reason it's missing on many (lost /fell out) and from what I can tell wasn't even ever on US models. With maybe a few exceptions. I have discovered the center badge for the cap is/was still available to order and go those. In my searches I've came across somebody overseas that 3D printed a replica for the same reason - OEM is Mia. I ordered those and was mildly happy with results so far. Center badge wasn't popping in directly so I had to do some filing to it to fit. However upon trying to pull it back out to adjust it, the weak "ear" gave away. So now I have to order more of find a better solution. Having this locked up maybe I'll try to contact a local fabricator to CNC me an aluminum one piece replica. On a side note, if anybody with prisoner wheels wants to measure their center cap it would be much appreciated. Im getting mixed feedback from the Brits as to whether the part is the same or not. It looks the same. While on the matter if you can share what the retaining bolt is like that would be helpful too. I know it's 8x1.25 Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk
  7. I just bought these for the same purpose https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ST4BQDT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I'll see how they do [h=1]Sponge Neoprene W/Adhesive 12in Wide[/h]
  8. Thanks! Ordered. Hope it fits better than last one. Only medium I've ever bought that was too big
  9. Sodo-moto has a sold sticker on the ad? CL ad is still up. We'll be with you on the track day in spirit..
  10. This guy is a fan of oddball cars it seems
  11. In the UK you can look up at vehicle registrations. How many get re-registered and how many are new registrations. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q=CATERHAM&commit=Search Here is some UK data on Caterhams Croc is there somewhere Continuous registrations total New registrations
  12. If I had to guess, McLaren, Aston, McLaren
  13. Its a challenge. Look closely and squint.
  14. Both website and parts work for me?
  15. I'm sure Croc will have this on his list already pending but beating him to it. Nice S3 on BAT https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1991-caterham-super-7-2/
  16. Thank you. This will be the route I'm likely to pursue regardless since I already have 4x100 wheels. Lets call this plan B. In the meantime I came across a plan A. What appears to be a set of 420R 15in wheels. Will those have trouble fitting under my existing stays? I know Caterham sells two different sets of stays and fenders whether 13 in or 15 in.
  17. Yeah, that old age really gets all of us 7 owners... right guys??? .... guys??? :leaving:
  18. Tire availability and the fact that I could potentially already use 15's I have without having to buy another set of wheels. The marginal downsides of the rotational mass/etc are a non factor for the few (at most) track days I'd do a year. Pretty much trying to have a backup/primary set at minimal cost. It's a high risk situation to be facing during a tire failure but trying to minimize that risk in the most efficient way. I like my SLR 13s and will likely keep them for the street bouncing between badly sized Toyos and hard to source/more costly Avons.
  19. I'm still on the lookout if anybody has advice. Currently window shopping 4x108's in 15s. Although I fear I might run into fitment issues with the front fenders that are made for 13s or have to run a really small tire to fit.
  20. It's very vicarious to hear another 7 with the identical sounding straight cut gears in a video format. Makes me miss summer already.
  21. I'm 99% certain the staggered setup is stock on SLR packages but square setup was available as well and came on other trims throughout the years. The 245's the came off the back were from 2001 which is also the year of the car. I'm certain there were stock. With that said I've never spun the car! From what I can still recollect out of the ton of different experiences over the adventurous period of tracks last year my car tends to understeer and I'm happy with that. Sway bar is in the back is likely in the middle setting too.
  22. My new tires are 185/60r13 that are picturer above with the tight fit. The previous original R500 had a much more tollerant fit. Don't remember their size. But ill trying to order the same matching set as original again. Rears are a bigger problem. 245s are being very hard to find for the rear. And the current side wall at 45 makes them look very small in the arches and definitely much small than the 60 front.
  23. The wingstays and fenders "float" with the tire. As long as there is any clearance at all, it shouldn't be an issue. Like motorcycle front and rear fenders which float with the suspension. I switched from Avon and while I'm not happy with the sizes they worked for now Sent from my Pixel 3a XL using Tapatalk
  24. I believe we are talking about two different things. I also have the "pop in" center caps. I'm looking for the bigger part that's held in by the bolt that the cap pops into. Prisoner wheels and SLR wheels to the best of my knowledge have identical center "plates" for the better description. ' These "plates" have been discontinued for some time.
