As I accumulate 7 related trinkets, clothes and F1 merch @FasterThanVov suggested I make a thread about our 7 related swag to share. I'll start with the garage sign I posted about before

Did you run out of film?

Most impressive. You're very committed and getting the most out of your 7 for sure. I had fun with just a few thousand miles on mine. Hard to imagine all the memories and adventures with these kind of miles. How's the reception of the Birkin by the public in Japan? I know small sized cars aren't anything strange to the people used to Kei cars but it's a visual statement like no other.

It's a visual statement but you pull it off! -
Track only has exemptions but you'd obviously never get registration. UK/Ireleand were able to do a tour here in the same way how we can drive our cars to Canada and why we see Quebec plates around upstate NY quite a bit. You're allowed to temporary have your car in other countries as a visitor. Less common with cars from the other continent for obvious reasons but you're allowed to do so nonetheless. You could drive your 7 in Europe if you wanted to.

I'm not sure I understand why this couldn't be ordered through the dealers here and avoid at least half the headaches. You'd only have the state ones to deal with after that.

Had this tab saved/opened for a while. I'll never get into this but worth sharing for anybody else who might consider this option https://cr-modelltechnik.com/carbon-tueren-carbon-doors/ Carbon hinges are just a step too far! (still want them though, just dont use doors enough)

Also an alternative solution which I've been using is Lithium Ion car battery. Super light and has its own built in jumper...

A TUNED Caterham 620R... WHY?!

This thread now has the small glory of being the most "viewed" thread in the Videos Category. Beating out the "office race" video thread from 2009.

Hard to tell but it's one of two options. 1) if it's a coating you'll need it refinished 2) if it's natural color from heat then whatever is on there can be polished off

Original fenders had a failure with previous owners. You can see the fixings in the fender Then 2019 NJMP. Again driver front. I believe Sikaflex failed (good picture, fond memories @wemtd) 2020 - NJMP here is my quote Emphasis mine In 2021 I had another failure, this time hardware failed My quote at the time ' The next two years (2022/2023) I wasn't on the track and now that I went this year another driver failure on completely different components. New wingstay and fenders. very peculiar. That makes my batting average 1.000 as I'm 4 out 4 for driver failures on track days in many different flavors for mounts and fenders.

Back from the track day Car did great overall. Only things that failed are aftermarket components. Westermann CSR aluminum wing stay failed on driver side and I was battling through bad throttle mapping in the ECU throughout with lean conditions causing misfires. I think there is some bad juju on the driver front wheel. Original owner had his bolted fender fly off on driver side, I had first round of Sika flex fail when I glued fenders first time, then I had rivcerts fail out of the stay on the track day same day, next track day I had driver fender issues and now this year with a new stay and new fender failures again. Could be that side is generating more heat due to bad bearings or dragging calipers or something. Maybe I'll just go open wheel next time entirely? Time to send my oil for analysis to Blackstone to check whats going on with engine and do an oil change. It's been in there about 2 years. Very surprised that people don't know about this. @NSXguy @Croc Blackstone https://www.blackstone.com/ slight bend... Had to cut off Sikaflex in the back. Held on strong! All the tools brought came to use (of course couldn't find my ball joint breaker tool specific for Caterham before I left ) Bent that far, no easy way to remount Hella flush!

Not sure how I missed this thread I think I might be locked out of using it after I surrender my registration but we shall see.
