  1. In order to give the constructive wife advice we need to address this as systematically as we do everything else. Whats the year/make/model? How often is maintenance done? Is trade in an option or you want to keep this one? When her head gasket blows, is the rebuild more or less expensive than the Zetec?
  2. I agree with Croc I actually own a Duratec and a super charger for it but I don't think I'll ever commit to going out the different side, new wiring, new hood new ECU etc. With that said, I also happen to have an M62 if I recall supercharger that I acquired from the previous owner at the time of purchase to use on the Zetec. This is as good a time and place to ask this, but how come you rarely if ever see SC'ed Zetecs? Stock bottom end has got to be able to handle ~5 to 9 psi (guesstimating) for another 50 horse? Shouldn't be that much different than 620R setup other than maybe a tighter fit? This could be a reasonable solution to your problem looking for more HP without a crazy build, OP, if Croc gives it blessing.
  3. Thanks for the update Croc That Stalker looked familiar It's the one that didn't meet the reserve on BaT https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-brunton-stalker/ Reserve likely around $16k.
  4. I ran a forum for about 6 years. Total content was about 10x the size of USA7's (over a million posts) and in it's peak I would see over 1000 a day. I witnessed the decline first hand about 4 years ago now, not only on mine but on the others I used to frequent. Whether it be facebook or other means, the forum hay day is over. I'm glad to see people still regularly frequent here and address concerns and share their thoughts. It's true, in the end of it all, being an enthusiast is a very social thing. You can have the nicest car in the world but if you're only one person on the island with it, it's not quite the same.
  5. It's a sad combinations of forums dying as a mean of web communication and seasonal limitations. No reason to talk about 7's when you put yours away and forget about it. Also hard for things to break when they aren't being operated. Facebook having an active British 7 community only further hurts need of chatting in the threads. Feel free to be a leader and reply to some threads. Conversation sparks further conversation.
  6. I managed to make this uhaul work Would like better options however
  7. Awesome. Thanks for sharing! As I found out recently on the FB group I'll share my new knowledge > Your hood might not lined up too well once closed/latched on the front. It will "bow out" at the mounts. That's "normal". My $.02
  8. Glad to see another north eastern owner!
  9. Ah fair enough. CC or SBFS? Potential buyers would like to know I'm sure. Also pictures?
  10. I'm going to go offtopic here but why did you have an S5/SV cover if you have an S3? I'm currently debating between light duty and split heavy duty versions on softbits for sevens. Split is probably the one that makes more sense to use with the Aeroscreen.
  11. This was listed back in December and for some reason didn't get sold/finalized for ~$24k. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Lotus-Super-Seven-/223271043680?hash=item33fbfdc260%3Ag%3AM1YAAOSwgyZcByhd&vxp=mtr&nma=true&si=brpTbqOPNMsahtRM15zW6rXQK%252Bg%253D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  12. Thats my ad. Not sure who Karl is, but I wouldn't be surprised if you knew the original owner http://www.usa7s.net/vb/attachment.php?attachmentid=15018&stc=1
  13. Let me know if we can agree on the front lights. I'm about to put toget a CC parts order and will order them from them directly with my order if not from you.
  14. Everybody will be asking you for pictures so might as well nip that in the butt and post some up. People will be asking you about title as it will matter quite a bit the background on it. Bringatrailer might be your best bet for something like that with your desired reserve. It would put most eyes possible on such a unique project. Good luck with the sale.
  15. Are those 5 3/4 in headlights? Willing to separate headlights from taillights?
  16. This is essentially a 360R or even a 400R. All it needs is the aero piece and maybe a few other small bits and pieces to make it "right" for you. Price will be around ~25,000 when finished. Certainly makes it more reasonable to afford vs the $45k figure. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2002-caterham-super-seven-2/
  17. I'm going to try my damn best to attend. Have to get some kinks out but I'm scheduling days off and penciling this in. I'll be coming from Albany area, NY. If anybody wants to Convoy down, let me know!
  18. http://www.midatlanticcaterham.com/ Does anybody know if they shut down or just IT issues? I've been contemplating on the squeal kit and the skid plate.
  19. Don't sell yourself short and give yourself too little credit. Myself and I'm sure plenty others look forward to updates to this thread on the regular. Whether we already have one and are just curious about others for sale or somebody is a potential buyer as using your thread as the ultimate "7 for sale" reference guide that it is. My join date might be recent but I've been a lurker of this thread and forum for years.
