Are you running 275s all the way around? West tex and I have have several discussions about this issue. I finally got info from an engineer from Hoosier..... Wider is better. Of course you have to consider aero, unsprung weight, rolling resistance....... In your case you have plenty of grunt to motivate them. Cheers 7evin

Now that the maps have been built it will just be a matter of plug and play. with a few minor adjustment of course. Kenny Tran is the GURU for bringing it to life. If you are thinking of running E-85 all your parts have to be alcohol compatible Tank,, fuel lines, fuel pumps and all aluminum has to be hard anodized. We are contemplating how to squeeze 315's under the fenders..... Allot of power for 275's

WOW.... Thank you all for so much wonderful support. 7s ROCK !!!!!!! I have to keep pinching myself to make sure this is real... Sorry I have not responded before now. We had to drive to Michigan on Sunday to do some testing on the car at Wheel to Wheel on Monday. We thought we were having drive slippage or possibly belt slippage. Come to find out on their calibrated Dyno Mojito is making 381 hp to the wheels. No belt or drive slippage. Big relief. We drove from Detroit to Atlanta got in at 6:30 am and have to leave tonight for Orlando :7drive: for a green earth expo where Mojito will be on center stage for 4 days. I have to say thanks to Brian Anderson for building such an incredible car. My Team mate Loren for keeping me locked in his shop for 8 weeks and coming up with some of the most innovative ideas to go faster and faster. And for keeping everyone up to date. (this list could go on and on) Chuck and Barb, for all the great tech advice, support and the spare diff. (thank goodness we did not need it) Paul for being that smiling face that drove for hours to cheer us on. Bob for helping me with the pump issue and allowing me to be the first person to ride in his monster creation. That thing is part drag car.... I thought Mojito was fast... Gary and his friend for their kind words and encouragement. Robert, For taking time out of his busy day and bringing his beautiful car to the reception in Ohio to support us. It must strike fear in our competitor’s hearts when these cars start to gather..... Above all to my beautiful and durable wife who never complained the whole time, no matter how tired, wet and cold she got. Next stop, Button Willow Ca. the Ultimate Track/Green Car Challenge. Wish us luck as we take Mojito into battle against some of the fastest track cars in the USA Cheers and again thank you for all your kind words and support. Stay tuned for more action, same 7s time , same 7s channel. 7evin http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/978645009_kba.jpg

Rear wing, This track is rather fast, we had to dial some wing out of the car. We are getting so much rear bite that you almost can't throw the rear out.... All most. Bob, Thank you and we are addressing sealing surfaces also. The Data colection is not complete. See you at VIR. Cheers 7evin

WOW, thanks for all the input, You guys rock. Spaz, We have already signed up..... Thanks for the plug. If anyone wants to tell them about us we would be grateful. Bob, Would love to see you at VIR in the beast.... Here is my cell if you don't have it. 678.314.3906. Chuck, Thank you for everything you and Barb do to support us. You two are awsome. Dinner my treat before the one lap...... your treat if we win.... Well we spent 3 days wringing this things neck at TWS..:ack: .... I think Eric Foss ( pro driver/instructor for Porsche and Mazda...) said it best..... "WOW this thing is amazing, I have never driven anything like it.... totally Sick..." He helped us tune the suspension and overall setup.... I learned allot. Sunday morning Eric took me with him for a 20 min thrashing...... I saw Jesus at least twice maybe 3 times, not sure it was just a blur... We passed everything on the track. The top 7 cars Z06"s Porsches and a 350z. (all on racing slicks and gutted) 153 down the front stretch.... According to the max speed on the GPS. With 2 of us in the car he turned 1:54 min. He believes the car is capable of 1:50 with a few more tweeks. NOT with me in it. He brought several people by to show them the car. They all were full of Q"s He apologized to me and said "I just can't stop thinking about this thing" I said "welcome to my world".... Near the end of that run the temp started to come up. Pulled in and found we had blown a head gasket. Loaded her up and we are in Dallas today at Kenny Tran's shop. He let me use his dyno bay to pull the head. Issue... Honda studs did not hold. Going with ARP studs and changing the valve springs and retainers while we are at it..... Glad we found it now and not 3000 miles into the one lap. I'll post videos later tonight if I have time. Here are a few pics http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/726660669_pics 014.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/2127085455_pics 017.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/181016652_pics 021.jpg Mojito and the one lap RV. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1631366830_pics 034.jpg Eric taking it out for a shake down..... This dude is so fast. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/766936867_pics 013.jpg Cheers 7evin Thanks again for everyones support and input.

Just a little update, I do not recommend the carbon fiber wings for anything more than looks. They are to thin and distort at high speeds. On the other hand the aluminum version is very nice. I think you could stand on them and they are cheaper. If I can find the charger for my camera I'll post some pics. Currently upgrading the 7s human sleeping attachment/ alcohol smuggling device. As Bob refers to it as the "Sarcophagus" Cheers 7evin

Gotta love it.... My favorite kind of stories. Job well done. Cheers 7evin Sorry for all of the off topic this morning,,, I have been running on 2 hours of sleep for days now trying to get finished.

What year camero axle is it? I know the year that they ran the GN turbo motor it had a much beefier diff.
-
I think in his last life he was a dominatrix, I think that must be a hard personality trait to over come..... Yes I am rather confident it must be .... Don't be fooled by that smiley face..... Next time he is in that trailer trying to sleep, I am going to pass every Porsche in sight..... and video it so someone will beleave me.... 163 mph will look sane...
-
For you we offer one time good deal. "FREE" but only for one night.
-
We enjoyed having you joins us Bob it was a good time. You are welcome to come along and ride in the trailer...... We are going to try and blog it this year. It is hard enough just doing it let alone trying write about it on the fly. Trying to type on a laptop while driving a 7 down the road is a bit of a chalenge. Cheers 7evin
-
You are so right Robert. I guess your wife ejoys driving your 7? My wife loves driving the 7, She is flying out to Texas just so she can drive Mojito back to Ga. I told her I have the trailer I'll just haul it. She want to drive it.... Its nearly a 1000 miles. I guess I'm stuck driving the truck. Cheers 7evin

Can we wait till after the one lap to do this ??? Last time you did this we were doing a 30 min. diff change in the middle of the one lap.... :ack: I see this kind of stickiness as us on the internet looking for more diffs.... I love ya man, but you are the most expensive bitch I have ever known..... I don't mean to call you a bitch..... Yes I do.... Man I am going to have to divorce your ass if you keep this sh#$%t up.... :d :d You are going to drive me to Prozac..... You have no idea what it is like having a mad scientist/ speed freak as your best friend.... (L) Go for it Kev.... You can pass that Porsche..... He is only running 163...... (K) But Loren what about the fenders won't they come off at that speed?..... (L) Don't worry about that they make too much drag anyhow..... Truth is I was probably running closer to 200+..... He has most likely detuned the speedo so I don't get scared He keeps me locked out here in this Garage 20 hours a day..... (HELP) Some times all I have to sleep on is a creeper Haven't seen my wife in weeks..... He says she is ok...... Well at least he lets me surf the USA 7s site...... I guess its not that bad..... :d :d
-
I would say BS also, you take one look at these cars and you think its cute, but fast? No way. All I can say is when WestTex gets a wild hair to build something fast, it is usually unbelievably so. I didn't even bother to look a the speedo memory until he told me he was running 163 when I passed him and wanted to know what I was running. Hell I have seen 125 mph indicated with WestTex in the coffin durring the one lap.....:7fume: Just joking Loren....
-
This is the same guy (Loren) that has cut a perfect light many times.... I have never cut a perfect light. He tells me how but I have yet to do it. As far as fast goes, At Road Atlanta last year Mojo sqeaked out just over 175 mph between turn 8 and turn 10a , She was quite motivated after being laughed at by a driver of a certian Porsche GT3 RS.... He didn't think she should be in the class with the Porsches and Vettes. There was not much laughing going on in the porsche pits when we came back to the pits. He was only running 163 mph when we went around him.... He said she looked home made..... I said I prefer to call it hand crafted, He laughed.... I bet the next time he see's a 7 he thinks twice before he passes judgement. Cheers 7evin

Hey Dino, Man I would love to. That would be a total blast. I will be at the NASA Time trials at Texas World Speedway this Fri, Sat and Sun. Shaking the car down for the one lap. I know its short notice but if you can make it give me a call. We are also doing the Ultimate Track/Green Car Chalenge again this year. If you want to go let me know. Maybe we could load both cars in our trailer and take them togather. Other wise it will have to be run-n-gun. We are hoping to bring both new cars to this race.

Smart Move all the way around. The STI diff will serve you well. Please make sure you post pics when you get it. You are going to love that thing. Cheers 7evin

How do you cope with frustration and a sense of loss?
7evin replied to BusaLoco's topic in Seven Videos
I understand, I just love the thrill of the outside edge of the envelope. passing GT3s at 150 plus. They never see it coming. You just can't explore what these cars are capable of safely on the streets. I know every time I go on the track that it could happen. But on the same hand I don't go blasting through bridges at high speeds with the car all loose. Cheers 7evin -

Looks like he stabbed it just a little early and clipped the wall with the left hand front wheel which pulled him in. Man not the place on that run to try and make time. I would have probably been in first gear and had a spotter. What amazes me is that he only said fuck 1 time.... I'm afraid I would have not been able to reserve myself to just one ...... the next 15 min. would have been one long bleep.... When I hit the wall at road Atlanta I wanted to throw up.... Cheers 7evin -

WOW ! So many awesome photos. I don't think ours can hold a candle. As you all well know 7s stick to the road like glue. So trying to drift one can be quite the feat. My buddy Loren is always up for the impossible. 07 One Lap: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1067080785_Resized_oloa-2007-11al0353.jpg Here he is doing it with one hand...... I think that is a Texas thing. I should put some horns on the front for him. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/320437912_Resized_oloa-2007-11sr0713.jpg I was just hoping we would have enough tread to make it to the trailer....:7fume: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1139813591_Resized_oloa-2007-11sr0706.jpg Coming down the front stretch in Indy. POWDERBRAKE : Tire ripping lets hope thats all... I can handle buying tires BOB: We went to a R180 diff from a from a STI vs the WRX R160. We also built an additional cross brace in the car for this diff. RV-4MIKE: The color is from the 07 Dodge Daytona Sub-Lime. I love it with black. Wow I would love to see a pic of an airplane painted with it. Any pics ? WHEELS: 17x8 fronts and 17x9 rear. Team dynamics racing competition series. http://www.teamdynamicsracing.com/competition_wheels.htm My buddy Loren found them. He is doing his S2k in sun burst orange and black with the same wheels. Should be a knock out. Cheers 7evin *Side note: I like stainless, bolts, nuts, washers ect. I have tried to use them and grade 8 in the car exclusively. Do not use them with out anti seize. Because they will and you will have resort to a die grinder to get them off. Sorry Loren I did not know you were online.

Mondo, I have not seen pics of your S2K build, Have I over looked it? Would love to see it Cheers 7evin

We put just over 80,000 mile down. I think I'm still tired from it..... But its kind of like sex, Even when your tired its hard to turn down. We have tried to cover every base and improve everything, trying to foresee failures in advanced. Part of what has taken 6 weeks of 18 hours days dedicated to just working on this thing (700+ Hours. Kudos to my beautiful wife for tolerating me being gone for so long. I just hope it pays off and we run fast and failure free. Thanks for the encouragement. Cheers Kevin My Wife drove from Ga and brought us another motor and trans. She stayed a few days and helped before she went back . What true love looks like. 4 a.m. She couldn't take it any more and fell asleep on a creeper... What a doll... Could not do this with out her and my buddy Loren. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1739096362_pics 013.jpg

Thanks for the input. I took about 35 hours of editing to make the video. You sometimes wonder if anyone will even watch it. Thanks for taking the time to watch. Cheers 7evin If it can't kill you, it ain't a sport...
