Videos of Mojito on the dyno http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=2310 or and Dyno Results. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1980908262_E85.jpg Come to find out today while talking with the engineer at Rotrex they sent us the wrong pulley. The new pulley should give more HP at a lower RPM and a little over 15 psi. We shall see. Cheers 7evin

I have spent time on the track and on the street in this car. It is nothing shy of awesome. It is the most solid 7 I have ever driven. Fast is an understatement..... Boys need not apply.... This is a mans car. 7evin

So... You love your 7..... Me too... Fast, fun, corners like its on rails..... I'm with you. But can it be beat by an old VW type 2 van???? No way !!!! Watch and weep as this VW type 2 passes 7's 911's elise's and just about everything on the track. THE MOST IMPRESSIVE VW I have ever seen... http://www.race-taxi.ch/ Race-Taxi in Anneau du Rhin 2007 (avi, 17MB) Cheers 7evin

What it takes to do under dash work on a 7.. :jester: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1113813982_pics 016.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/64515422_pics 017.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1992141370_pics 018.jpg I hope I got the pins for the O2 sensor correct.... and not upside down.... I'll post the Dyno results when I get the files converted. Cheers 7evin

Hey Guys, Just got back from Dallas after spending 2 days on the dyno and hanging out with Kenny Tran. For those of you who do not know him, He is the Jet Lei of the import tuner world. Races a 2.4L Scion that runs 60 psi of boost and approx 1200 hp.(8.1 sec @ 181 mph in the 1/4) He doesn't know the exact HP because his dyno can not handle that much HP. Very humble and very bright guy. Kenny working his magic. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/223995895_pics 022.jpg We are short about 2 psi of what we calculated for the E85 fuel. so we have to hunt for the missing pressure. As a side note, when he finished tuning the car he asked " what does this thing weigh ? " I told him and he looked at me wide eyed and said "WOW this thing is going to be fast! " Then he said I think I might have to get one of these. I warned him that it was not a good idea.... Of course he ask why ? I said you will lay in bed at night thinking about twisty roads that you can't wait to drive it on.... I am going to take him for a ride and close the deal..... Cheers 7evin

Looking Good. They are almost as fun to build as they are to drive. Cheers 7evin

I'll Take 1, Mine works fine. Cheers 7evin

Yippi..... I'd drive it... If the police could ever catch you, They would take one look at this thing and call for the guys in the white coats and a new jacket for you. Cheers 7evin

Found it. If anyone else is looking for something like this check out Pilot 4 button flat panel switch. http://pilotautomotive.com/catalog.html I did not like the looks of the switch setup it came with so I just cut the connector off and solder my own wires on. Cheers 7evin
-
Great idea, Maybe have a 4th O-shit maximum pressure/ I have waited to late to brake switch that fires an injector connected to the exhaust so you can blow flames. Now that would get the attention of any one tail gating you. The possabilities are endless. :) Cheers K

I would love too. I'm making a quick trip down in June. Our racing schedule this year is completely nuts.... It might have to be fall. I am looking for a latching circuit or a mechanical latching relay so I only have to use one push button momentary switch to turn the electric fan on and off. Does anyone have a source? I do not want to use the 4 relay setup. Not enough room in a 7 for banks of relays. I would love to find a solid state unit that has 4 or 5 inputs and outputs. Or relay/mechanical switch. Cheers K

Bob, Check out Watson's Street Works. www.watsons-streetworks.com They have some pretty slick stuff Loren is asleep at the moment. Here is a pic with them on. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/757039470_Resized_pics 119.jpg Cheers K

Hey, how come I don't know about plan B ??? K

We rhino lined the interior of the car and put the lizard skin in the engine compartment. We shall see. We are also looking at heat reflective material. Go easy with linex the weight adds up quick. We put a very thin layer on. Not a big deal if you are not racing and trying save every ounce. Cheers Kevin

Hey Bob, I do not have the info in front of me. I will look it up once we have the car ready to be tuned. WestTex is cracking the whip on me to produce, so I'll do it later. Cheers Kevin

That is not 400 lbs per wing, that is combined down force between the 2 wings. 178 lbs front/ 229 lbs rear, Duel element w/ nearly 800 sq in. of surface. The max AOA on these wings is 40 degrees without creating a stall condition. Of course at that AOA we are talking about a significant amount of drag and turbulence over the car. But you don't love a 7 because of its aerodynamics. Even the Atom has very poor aero. Because of the hp of the car drag is not as much of a concern as down force Last year at Road Atlanta we turned 175 down the back stretch before cresting the hill and heading into turn 10a. At that speed the car is nearly impossible to keep planted and under control. This year we thought it would be wise to beef up the roll cage and wing it to try and keep it attached to the planet. If you run the numbers (800 sq in) on a piece of 1/2 inch plywood at 120 mph @ 40 degrees AOA you would be surprised at the results. Here is some thing new we are trying to reduce heat in the cockpit. Its called Lizard Skin. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1991105981_Resized_DSCN6347.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1280113863_Resized_DSCN6349.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/597604015_Resized_DSCN6351.jpg Its a Spray-on Ceramic Insulation and Sound Control # Reduce engine and solar heat transfer by 25-30 degrees or more (we are hoping for more) # Reduce noise by 10-12 decibels or more # Protect surfaces from moisture and corrosion # Withstand temperatures to 500° F. (260° C.) We'll see. We have also used spray in foam insulation (tiger Foam) to try and get the heat down. We will keep you informed if any one is interested. Cheers Kevin

Hey Guys, I will not be able to make it, been chained to the car till it is track ready. Its sleeting here in TX today.... Make my miss GA weather..... Cheers Kevin Maybe next meeting.

Here is the web site for the wings. http://www.aprperformance.com/ http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/626101939_CS-105502.jpg They make them in both carbon fiber and aluminum. With the wing configuration we have selected they claim at 120 mph we can generate 400+ lbs of down force. depending on AOA of course. We would like to drive the AOA (angle of attack) electrically so at low speeds we have a high AOA and at high speeds we trim it out and have less drag. Then of course blow it to max AOA under braking and cornering for max down force. Cheers Kevin

Calling all Georgia Seven owners (and enthusiasts)!
7evin replied to athens7's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Got it, Will contact those worthless scoundrels about this issue today. Thanks for the alert and the clarification Cheers Kevin http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/278022317_g34.gif -
Hey guys, Let me know what date you are considering. I will be out of town for approx 10 days starting the 15th. Headed to Tx to put the new car together. If any of you are interested we will have a MOJO up for sale first of next month. For pix and video go to www.organicracing.com Cheers Kevin

My first car was a Porsche 914/4.... I still have it..... I don't how it survived me or me it.... I'm sure I would not be here to talk about it if it would have had 500 hp...... It amazes me how many people on the forum were all amazed that someone would allow an 18 yr old to have an M5, but some mommy or daddy thought it was ok...... Its like giving a 2 yr old a 44 mag. I'm sure that 200 feet was a hell of ride. My 23 yr old has asked to drive Mojo a couple of times.... I told him when he is 40 I'll think about it.

Well smoking all 4 tires to get stopped does nothing but improve your ride with flat spots. I guess these boys do not know how to stop quickly without ABS. the Cat isn't even making it to 100 in less than 11 seconds but the atom does it in 6....? Of course the atom does have the engine in the rear... I'm sure that is helping with standing water on the track....

Not a bad idea, Nothing worst than witnessing against yourself. Although I think if you don't have video or pictures of the Speedo, radar gun readout or something stupid like that. It would be mighty hard to prove in a court of law. There are several elements that they need to prosecute that would not be available unless you gave it to them. You could always claim you were full of BS and that you sped the video up to make it look faster than it was. Regardless it is still a good point.
