Would love to see the progress on the Westfield. Jerry, Is that tile flooring ? I bet the yellow monster looks great sitting in there ! Cheers 7evin

Wow, Those are some beautiful garages.... If you tell me you A/C in them I will cry.... I work out of a barn and use cardboard as a creeper.... 2 days before Road Atlanta. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/575768131_DSCN0187a.jpg My creeper is not in this picture... Yes those r chain saws hanging on the back wall.... No I do not use them to carve parts for Mojito... Thats what the grinder is 4.....:smash: Cheers 7evin

Soareyes My thought also, I DON'T care if you are blonde and cute... GET OFF my car. Then I realized she was playing peek-a-boo.... Well how can you be upset with a girl with no panties on.... I can always buy a new hood.... I have been kind of wanting a carbon fiber hood from Brian any how. http://www.daxrush.com/im2/Foto011.jpg  http://www.daxrush.com/im2/Foto012.jpg  I HAVE GOT to get my wife one of those dresses.... :yesnod: Cheers 7evin

MKHflyer52, What a kind thing to say, Thank you. She is my biggest fan and I do look for her on every lap... Unless there is traffic to pass... Now I see why you’re so fast around a track and your competition is slow. Having your wife standing by the track has everyone looking for her and as for you the speeds you turn are understandable to get to see her each lap. Great picture.....and the bikini would be a real show stopper :d :d . Cheers 7evin

HPC Awesome shots.... I completely understand that whole racing in the rain thing. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1379426246_oloa-2008-05sr0115.jpg 11Budlite beautiful shot... the one thing I love about the chrome headlights is the reflection of everything around the car. 0 to 100 burst http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1743214691_2568547007_07caa85bb3_b.JPG Cockpit shot http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/2028037391_2568554257_c66156d159_b.JPG Doc (my wife) taking the wing off Mojito, Road Atlanta 08 http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/380982949_DSCN0192a.jpg Now if I can get her to wear a bikini and change the oil..... Cheers 7evin

Banjo, That rocked..... I couldn't see it in the camera , but I could almost hear your ear to ear smile. Is that not the funnest car you have ever driven? I love it when you pass that porsche. One of my favorite things to do, I also get a great deal of satisfaction passing the vettes. The PS2s were a great choice for the car. Best tire we have ever run. Rock on big dog Cheers 7evin

I would love to go but I am going to be out of the country. It sure would be nice to do something before it gets cold though.

Sevnn: The service manual states that at 177 degrees (oil temp) you should have 35 PSI at idle. We are at 20. We run as high as 235 degrees on the track at full race temp. The manual recommends changing the oil pump if less than 35 psi... The oil pump CAN be changed without pulling the front of the motor off. WestTex figured this one out. Our oil pan is not modified yet. You might be able to get by with running a little heavier oil. Slngsht: Paul ran 21st at 1:42.078 He said he normally runs in the 1:41 area. This is his home track. He is very smooth... makes me jealous. David ran a 34th at 1:47.304 this was his first time on this track. Very impressive time for his first time on the track plus he was having a front end vibration issue. I invited David to join our forum. We also flew the USA 7s banner. I intended to get pictures of all of us together but working on the car took priority over everything. Cheers 7evin

Hey Guys thanks for your support. As many of you already know we were at Road Atlanta this weekend. Friday during test and tune we were coming down the front stretch on our 4th lap and the oil filter came loose and we dumped 4 qts of oil at 8500 rpms. We finished Test and Tune on Friday after Loctiting the oil filter on w/o any other problems. Saturday morning we hit the track ready to run top 5 or maybe even set the RA Time Trial Record. Well it wasn't in the cards. After the first lap Mojito would not stay in Vtech. From all indications she appeared to be going into Limp mode. (I hate it when that happens :ack: ) We work feverishly between runs to resolve the issue. It appeared that the never failing Honda ECM had failed. We searched every junk yard and dealership with in a 150 miles trying to find a replacement, to no avail. Mandurath (Marc) found one on Ebay at a place called HPC. My wife searched their web site and found the owners name and we gave him a call at home. He agreed to come in on Sunday morning open up and sell us an ECM. I called Brian Anderson (the brains and talent that designed and builds the S2K) back to let him know that I got lucky and found an ECM, He was already on a plane with 3 ECM's headed my way (broken ribs and all).... Wow... I could hardly believe it. We picked him up from the airport at 1:30 am and were back to the track before 3 am. Sunday: We were up at 6:30 am and working on Mojito prepping her to do battle at 9. We hit the track ready to put the hurt on some corvettes and porsches... We made it one full lap with Vtech and she started doing the same thing. We were still holding 12th position, But not where we wanted to be. We decided to rewire the ECM supply voltage to the battery cut off switch so that every other lap I could cut power to the ECM for 20 seconds and reset it. 20 seconds coasting with no power on a race track seems like an hour. This didn't really help. It appears that the issue is with the oil pressure... Not enough of it once the engine gets hot to keep the Vtech open. Lap times: Friday: 1:34.210 Saturday: 1:40.105 Sunday: 1:36.589 There were 3 7's represented at the event. David Seybold in his smokin hot red and black Super Stalker. He came all the way from New Mexico to run with us. The ever fast Paul Whittle in his silver bullet Super Stalker kept the heat on all weekend long. We did not get much of a chance to hang out and talk because we were working our butts off to get the car right. But what we did I really enjoyed these guys were very cool people..... of course they own 7s. We finished 8th overall and 6th in TTR (Time Trial Race) Just thought i would bring you guys up to date. Thanks again for all your support. Cheers 7evin

I talked to several S2000 owners and heard of 5 events where this had happened.. 11budlite: Great idea ! I really like the hose clamp idea. easy and cheap.

I can't say thanks enough to everyone..... Brian came and helped us work on the car all day even though he had several cracked ribs and a sprained back. We installed the new computer and it did not resolve the issue. Fought with it all day and ended up being (we think) a bearing issue. Friday morning on our 4th lap coming down the front stretch the oil filter backed off and blew about 4 qts of oil out. I was turning about 8500 rpms in 5th about to shift to 6th when this took place. It ran in V-tech the rest of the day but not Sat or Sun. So we ran the rest of the weekend with only occasional vtech about 60 to 90 seconds worth. I will post more info tomorrow in the Road Race section of this forum for anyone interested. Road Race forum Mojito at Road Atlanta Thanks again cheers 7evin

Mandurath, Wow thank you thank you thank you..... We searched their website and found the owners name, did a people search for GA. and found his home phone.... gotta love the internet.... He agreed to open the shop in the morning and sell us a 2003 ECU.... So if all goes well we should be back in warp speed mode by noon...... :7fume: happy happy joy joy... boy really don't know how much you miss 150 hp pwr till you don't have it any more... I hope Santa Claus brings you every part for your car you ever desired..... or a big stack of cash.. Thanks so much Mark... Brian, thank you for offering to bring me one, I can't thank you and Gerri enough for all your support. You are guys awesome. Cheers 7evin

Hey guys, If anyone knows anyone here in GA that has an Ultralite S2K that will loan or let me buy their ECM... I will buy them a brand new ECM and make the mods for them on monday.... We have a chance of winning the TTU class and setting the time trial record here at RA if we can find an ECM. Thanks 7evin 678-314-3906

Dave, The car looks awesome with those wheels.... Good choice Cheers 7evin

I'm a little concerned about the oil pan clearance..... I think you have the power plant mounted a little to low.... My other concern is where are going to mount the twin superchargers...... Because I quite confident after riding it for less than a week you'll decide it needs more power..... Just a thought..... Now get your a#$ back to work on the Ultra ultralite so we are ready for Run-n-Gun 7evin

"Whenever you do a thing, act as if all the world were watching." TJ Maybe Jackson should read some of what Jefferson had to say. "A coward is much more exposed to quarrels than a man of spirit." TJ Well..... TJ hits the nail on the head again. When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty. Give me Liberty or give me death..... I am quite sure this statement means death or that you are a terrorist in the current form of government we currrently find ourselves. Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty. TJ Well I guess we should state our thoughts and be open minded enough to listen to a rebuttle Thomas Jefferson is one of my favorite people to read.

Maybe soft compound autocross tires on the front and hard compound tires on the rear ? Sure looks cool though... West Tex, Remember the drifter guy who came to the 1 lap a while back, Put on a great show but was not very fast.
-
I am trying to work out the details with them. I'll let you know when it is a go. You will be more than welcome to ride some laps with us. Make sure you bring a DOT helmet and a fresh change of under shorts . Cheers 7evin

Hey Robert, We use 2 different oil coolers on our car. The oil for the motor goes thru a Mocal unit which is a laminar type water to oil cooler. it uses water going to the radiator to cool and heat the oil. Works like a charm. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1937487850_mocal.jpg The other oil cooler is for the Rotrex supercharger and it is a very rugged frame rail mount transmission cooler from Jegs. http://tinyurl.com/59vm6p http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/557638146_Resized_DSCN0022.jpg Just some thought to chew on Cheers 7evin

That was NOT by any stretch of the imagination a regular $90,000 atom. He was running the same rotrex supercharger as us and had about $10,000++ in engine work done to the car. Super nice bunch of guys. They were headed up to Reno afterwards and invited us to join them at the track for a couple of days.... I wish I could have but our schedule would not allow. I am planning on joining them to run at Hallet for a couple of days. A very fun bunch.... I think after a couple of days at Hallet it might be more than a couple 100ths of a second separation between us..... Ultimate Track Car Challenge Atom 158.214 Mojito 158.617 Mojito likes the way the Atoms look in her mirrors.... We'll see if she can make the USA7s folks proud. As far as living it down, I love it.. Makes for great challenges in life.... Now I am on a mission from the 7's God..... As Churchill said "NEVER GIVE UP (x3)" Cheers 7evin

Just I quick correction on our finish at the UTCC and UGCC 12th overall, 2nd fastest street legal car (the Atom was first) 7th Independent Varsity. I had to call GRM to get this correct. Sorry for the confusion Cheers 7evin
