Good Morning Shane Wow, I just caught up and saw this. I am so glad to hear you are not going to need surgery. Please keep in mind that my wife is a naturopathic Doctor. ( I call her a witch doctor... LOL) She has some pretty amazing ways of healing bones and tissue. If you are open to this please PM me. We would be happy to help in any way we can, from arnica to comfrey. Here is to a WOT recovery. Salute.... Cheers Kevin

That is basically the story I was told. You version seems to be a little more accurate.

WOW.... I thought I got around.... How do you deal with the jet lag? And how do you ever know what time it is? LOL It sounds like I might have a better chance stumbling across you some where on the road than in NYC.... I will let you know when I am in your area. Was kind of considering doing a 24 Hours of Lemons in NJ https://www.24hoursoflemons.com/events-results/article/146-the-real-hoopties-of-new-jersey in May. I will let you know if we do. Cheers. I will drink a good stout aussie drink for you.

Croc, Bingo you are correct. The Business is called F1 Modeling. We will be in town till Tuesday morning. Doing a trade show this weekend at the Convention center. I will be free after 6pm. I would love to meet up and see your car(s) Maybe tell some tall tails and have a cocktail if you have the time. Cheers Kevin

Scannon: He said it was just an exhaust cover.
-
From what the owner said, Some from Holden wanted one but he was to tall. So he had the engineers at Holden redesign the car so he could fit, Then he bought the company.
-
Hey Guys I came across this today in Melbourne Austraila. It comes with a Gen3 5.7L v8. From what I was able to gather from the owner there are only 25 in existence. Fit and finish is fantastic. I am supposed to go by tomorrow for a ride.

That is sweet. Looks like you have really spent some time to do it Very right. Mega Squirt has come Along way.

Hey Inis, Thanks for the info I will check it out.
-
LOL.. That's funny.. I must say trying to squeeze 2 fuel tanks, 3 fuel filters and 2 fuel pumps in to this little car was a bit challenging.

How long ago was it taken out? Road Atlanta I probably my favorite track. I am sure you saw plenty of action in 20 years. 10a and 10b have their fair share because of the drag strip before them, real test of braking power and balls. 11 seems to have plenty because of handling and balls.

Allot of factors to consider at this point on the track. I agree that the Porsche was pushing his adhesion limits, he was way out on the rumbles which shake up the suspension and reduce traction, comes back on to the track the tires bite and push him to the right at the very point the car is unloaded and the lightest point on the track. If you get this part of the track wrong you will play hell to catch up and get it sorted out before you hit the wall at the bottom of the hill. You pretty much pick out a point on the bridge and drive towards that, you really can't see where you are going to land. Without a doubt the scariest and most fun place on any track I have been on. You definitely do not want to be turning or trying to recover from anything when the suspension unloads from the vertical acceleration. Get it right and it is one of the most satisfying combinations of turns and elevation changes in racing. IMHO. I doubt the Porsche driver ever really saw him on top of it all.

JoTech Is my buddy Kenny Tran who I took it to and has done all my tuning. As of 3 months ago they were still dead in the water with HKS Spoke to Forged, 6 months ago they were dead in the water also. They are 60 miles from me. Called again today. They have found a hack for the HKS dongle. He says best to dump it and go with the AEM. You get rid of a host of problems and it will save you dyno and tuning time. May let them give the HKS a shot. Thanks Toyotus.
-
I have gone to 4 different tuners and all of them are giving me the same story, that their dongle keys are no longer working. I have not checked in the last 3 months. Maybe it has changed.
-
Wow ! That is awesome. I bet it is a blast to drive.
-
.... That is on the money....
-
I am rather confident I will never buy anything from HKS again. I now have $5000 worth of ECM computers that there is no longer the ability to program. To leave their dealers/tuners/customers high and dry like this is beyond reproach. I learned... and now we all know.... LOL So if you see HKS computers for sale on the forum Buyer beware.. I am really digging the AEM stuff though 1 computer not 3 and cheaper. http://www.aemelectronics.com/engine-management-systems-9/

Hey Guys, Its been quite some time since I have updated the progress with the car. To be honest we have been working night and day keeping our business afloat. Between taking a law suit with the FDA all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States and dealing with economy it has been a Herculean effort. It is very difficult to justify spending money on my passion when I can't give the families that work for me raises. At the Texas Mile we were able to pull off nearly 170 in the mile. Car was still pulling just not hard enough. We were loosing fuel pressure on every run. Rebuilt the fuel pump with spare parts, stacked pumps and tried all kinds of ideas. Bottom line we were having to short shift to prevent from going lean. Go lean and say good bye to the motor.... Shift point was supposed to 10,000 rpms but we were having to shift at 8500 to 8900. On a supercharged car rpm is directly linked to boost which is directly linked to HP which is directly linked to how fast you can go in a mile.... We were pulling off 142 mph in the 1/4, first 3 gears trying not to fry the tires. 4th gear we could pull right to 150 mph in just a little over 10 seconds, another 1000 rpms would have put us right at 170. Then came 5th gear short shift, rpm drop, boost drop major wall of air... She still pulled hard but not hard enough. At that kind of acceleration, speed and turbulence trying to watch the fuel air ratio as a shift indicator was a bit challenging. How do we fix it.... I buy a massive Weldon 2035 fuel pump... capable of 1300 hp. That was a bit over kill... It makes a hell of a racket and pumps 180 gph at 80 psi. Had to DE-throttle it quite a bit. Now time to re-tune. Load it up drive 700= miles to Texas and find out HKS pulled out of the US and did not update anyone's codes for tuning their after market computers... That was a long trip for nothing... I have been talking to a company locally called Top Speed about changing out the computer to the new AEM stand alone. I looks like what I have been looking for for along time. Other changes. We made some changes to the front suspension setup to get the car closer to the ground. I would really like to go back to the mile again next year and turn her loose again.

Wow... That is pretty amazing. I don't have an overly high amount of trust for the UN though...

My heart was pounding just watching the trailer

Hey guys I was on the MyE28.com forum earlier today and found a post from someone with a 7 giving some advice about upgrades. Very good advice... For some reason I can't seem to find it again. He had a pic of a green 7. I would really like to get in touch with him. Anyone have any ideas who it might be? We are doing 24 hours of Lemons in a 1985 535i I found in a farmers field and we need to add some camber to the front. 175,000 and this thing runs like a raped ape. No comparison to Mojito but still alot of fun. Thanks for any help. Here is a pic

I am thinking you need to write a book on "How to convince your wife to let you have a really cool race car and be happy about it" It would be a #1 seller world wide ! I would like an autographed one

I was a little worried also.... LOL
