  1. Here is one I use. http://www.wunderground.com/
  2. This is pure auto art. Much a Trike powered by a 911 Porsche engine I saw in a Feb. Saturday PM car show in Scottsdale. It has great looks and high impact. http://www.phoenixtrikeworks.com/trikes/gallery11/index.htm I had either I would build a glass room onto my house to display. Gary
  3. Southwind 25, it looks great, looking FWD to seeing it. I had mine out for the first run yesterday, I need to add more camber for the R888's. 39' OAT and no road salt it would stay hooked up in 2nd.
  4. Robert, 7" F&R. I also made some aluminum stone deflectors to extend below the back edge of the front fenders. The V710's would blast the cockpit & rear fenders with stones & sand. I'll let you know how they do. I'm not wild about the looks. If they work well I'll try to get these fenders glassed in or change them out for new ones that are about 8" longer. Too many people here for Easter, to drive it today.
  5. My plan is to get in on Friday & Depart Sunday. I did the sign-up and am willing to kick in my share of the tent. It will not rain as I don't plan on bringing my weather gear.
  6. I think the line for purchasers would be quite short, I would think you could name your own price.
  7. I have the R888's on the Birkin now. 205/50X15 & 225/45X15. On the first shipment with UPS the 225's were coated with printers ink from a package spill on the UPS truck. Joe sent another pair and I received 2nd day. Great prices and great service. I didn't even need to call and ask. I had to add a spacer to the front fenders brackets to clear the tires, but the rears required no mods. They went on much better than my 225/50X15 KUMHO V710's. Gary
  8. FYI all, I just reserved a room @ the Days Inn in Carlisle. #717-258-4147. They only had one non smoking room open after this one. I'm unsure if they had smoking rooms. I searched the area and this was all I could find. AAA $126. Gary
  9. FYI, about 6 years ago I used a campground about 500’ E. of the E. Gates. It is on Cavalry Rd. that runs N. off RT.11. I think it was hosted by the Fire Dept. No hook ups or water, showers. When I had M.H.’s I camped there. Many residents over there offered parking and a few offered camping in their back yards as well. I have had too many broken bones to sleep on the ground, so it will be a room for me. Kitcat congratulations on the son’s achievement. Gary
  10. We could also have a Europa in trail. Original owner! Gary
  11. Anyone from Ohio, or area interested in hooking-up for the drive over, Southwind 25, Kitcat, others? Gary
  12. Count me and the Birkin in. I know it won't rain. Gary
  13. Skip, I hope they are 225/45X15 as that is what I ordered. Joe said he had them in stock and would ship today. You are correct, they were not listed on his site though. He was a pleasure to deal with. From the reviews they come up to temp quick. Gary
  14. I also don't run a front plate. Agreed crazy laws. I think it depends on why you get pulled over and by who. We have many small towns & some of those would shoot you for no F. plate.
  15. http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/import/index.asp Is there anyone else planning on going to this? I'm unsure if I fly or drive yet. Gary
  16. Not that I care, I thought Ohio has a law about head sets on the driver, something about emergency vehicles. It could be a problem on the explanation as to why you are wearing them as well. I do ear plugs on longer drives also.
  17. I just ordered the Toyo R888 from http://www.thetireshoppe.com/default.asp?ID=276&sa=y&pagedata=tires . I did the 205/50X15 and 225/45X15 sizes. I talked to Joe there, he told me that Toyo had a rebate of $100 if you purchased a set of 4. They had the best price I could find and were in Pa, so the shipment cost should be ok. I think I'll mount them on the Team Dynamics wheels where my Kumho V710's are. FYI he mentioned the R888 had tread the full depth, and the RA-1 didn't. He said likely you would have a street leagle tire longer with the R888 tire. Gary
  18. Loren, My muffler is much like Davemk1’s photo above. I have not seen the DNA or Flowmaster Hushpower inside, when I opened mine up I liked what I saw. It is about 8” in Dia. and about 25” long. It has a perforated 2” pipe inside. The sound media chamber is outside the pipe in the surrounding chamber. The perforations are a series of .250” holes in the pipe. I could drop a 2” ball in one end and it would drop straight through. I think it had a ceramic cloth media inside that lasted less than 3,000 miles. I think you can get it with the S.S. wool from burns also. I’m not sure of any price points on the system or fill. I purchased my S.S. wool local, but when I called Burns they were very helpful on fill instructions. The only downside I see is the weight. Gary
  19. Welcome Martin I’m also some what new to Birkins. My S3 was too loud and it was equipped with a Burns S.S. muffler. I repacked mine with S.S. wool. The original media was burnt out. It is much better now. My S3 had no skip at all, as I didn’t build it; I have no idea of what was used. When I purchased it the plan was to replace the rear with IRS, but there is no need on mine. Burns has a web site. Gary
  20. Jerry, I also did the wood ramps for my ramp gate. I'll go to the China outlet and see if they have the Plastic ramps in Ohio. Gary
  21. Has anyone ran both the Toyo Ra-1 & R888? Feedback for noise and delta on handling please. Likely only someone from the south as the R888 are quite new. Gary
  22. I have a little less than 2.75" at the Pan/ Tran on the Birkin static. It was lower when I purchased it. I watch the road very close. Gary
  23. I did the 12’ Aluma Trailer that is light and I had them switch the tailgate for one that folded. I then cut most of the center cross braces out to clear the sump on loading. It is the same as the one Birkin Bernie has on page 1 of this thread. I would do it again. It weighs less than 800 pounds and has a GW of 2990 pounds. With the little F150 with the 6 it is a great package for my needs. Others have their needs as well. Gary
