  1. This was the "E" ticket. Having experienced a few things like this: You learn what life is: http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=394d1edc1f&attid=0.1&disp=vgp&view=att&th=11bc90a2aaf5bc5f :blueangel:
  2. I just spent the two days installing a 2 used post Rotary lift in my hanger. I’m so tired now I forgot why I did it. The 7 is so narrow I can just reach in to get it. :7rain:
  3. 4 valve twin cam 2.0. I have one in my Birkin and like it very well.
  4. My C.F. side mirrors don't do well with the stones from the front tires.

  6. Deer are a very big problem around here.
  7. I also have a Birkin down at the Beach City Airport, you are welcome to see it. Gary
  8. Thanks to all who spent the time on this. Gary
  9. My clear Michigan titled 67 Lotus / Birkin went through in Ohio fine. In 2050 it will need the plates renewed; I’m unsure who will do it though.
  10. I think all 7 type people agree it is about power to weight with the main thing being light weight. All of my adult life I have the very fast high HP cars & bikes for the time. Now at an advanced age I have found the joy of very light and very, very nimble handling. I feel about 25% more secure on the roads with the 7 than on a bike. I also did the 4 cylinder route. I like the looks of the Caterham & Birkin best, but still lust for the WCM. The nice thing about the 7 is the range of engine options. Pick yours and enjoy. The wife who has been way past 150 MPH in many of my cars took one look at the 7 and stated she would never ride in it, too small. One ride latter and she just loves to ride in it. I took the windshield off and made an aero shield for it, no luck she likes it even better.
  11. Adjust the springs up to what you need for height. You could also ask around to borrow larger tires for the process, good luck with the new toy!
  12. Back in the day I had a MGA that required way too much time working on everything. A Little 283 Cu. IN. V8 and new drivetrain solved the problem. For the date? 327's just came out and were too much $$ for a poor kid like me. I know the pain!

    Friends

Three women friends, one in a casual relationship, one en- gaged to be married and one a long-time wife, met for drinks after work. The conversation eventually drifted towards how best to spice up their sex lives. After much discussion, they decided to surprise their men by engaging in some S&M role playing. The following week they met up again to compare notes. Sipping her drink, the single girl leered and said, 'Last Friday at the end of the work day I went to my boyfriend's office wearing a leather coat. When all the other people had left, I slipped out of it and all I had on was a leather bodice, black stockings and stiletto heels. He was so ar oused that we made mad passionate love on his desk right then and there!' The engaged woman giggled and said, 'That's pretty much my story! When my fiancé got home last Friday, he found me waiting for him in a black mask, leather bodice, black hose and stiletto pumps. He was so turned on that we not only made love all night, he wants to move up our wedding date! The married woman put her glass down and said, 'I di d a lot of planning. I made arrangements for the kids to stay over at Grandma's. I took a long scented-oil bath and then put on my best perfume. I slipped into a tight leather bodice, a black garter belt, black stockings and six-inch stilettos. I finished it off with a black mask. When my husband got home from work, he grabbed a beer and the remote, sat down and yelled, 'Hey, Batman, what's for dinner?''
  14. It is nice to see that kind of spirit of cooperation shown by all. They must be backed by an open thinking administration. With good judgment it could last. I try to not over use the fun roads in my area.

    Gas Attack!

Bob, I was at Oshkosh also, but didn’t see you there. I have seen Burt Rutan a few times over the years. As you know he has many great aircraft designs to his credit including the first airplane to circle the earth on one tank of fuel. To see him, you would think he was a Grass Roots Singer, not the person who thought way outside the box. His R&D program cost and build is less than what most Aircraft Co’s spend for lunches for their R&D programs. He thinks & operates in small scale. Very much as Colin Chapman did with the 7.

    Gas Attack!

I don't think there is one answer, but we had better be open to all. I don't like the looks of windmills, but if it would help I would put one up in my back yard. Untill this election issue, both sides of the isle had their heads in the sand. One thing for sure, we sure are sending all of our oil money to people who want to kill us. I and all of us have seen this train coming at us full speed. Both the right & left has had their people in power, along with both that are presently running now have avoided this issue. The new speaker of the house said it was Bush's fault and she would fix it. It is now a bigger problem. I don't think it is her fault alone any more than his. Other than either not bringing a plan to start us on the plan to free us up from the mid east oil. We have been in deep shit and going in over our head . There isn't a one quick magic fix. I don't care who is in office Jan. 20th, we need all to tackle this problem, not just blame each other as has been in the past 20 or so years. Gary

    Gas Attack!

I can agree with all that is posted here. But as we know there are many issues that are at the root of this. Talk to anyone who has seen 3rd world drilling, and manufacturing operations. We enter into unfair trade agreements with 3rd world countries, to chase low cost labor. Look at the original NAFTA agreement. A few years latter Mexico devalued the PASO by 50%, for those who were asleep it was a 100% tariff in sheep’s cloths. They and others have no OSHA, EPA, ACLU, NITSA unfair Labor Unions, and over abundance of greedy lawyers, and other added US chains around the necks of employers. Yes we need to protect workers, and take care of the planet, improve safety, treat workers properly, have representation for “reasonable claims”, and so on. On all of these that were good ideas have got out of hand, and we get around all of these by sending the jobs to 3rd world countries that have none of this? Now that we have exported manufacturing operations off shore we have reduced the GNP. Trade balance? We can’t compete with this, nor would I want to, but are expected to. Look to the link to see what we are up against. I would still be in jail for this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_IoWdNfvFw
  21. Bruce, I, like Dave would not be concerned with how much excess you have between the tires & inside of the fender lip. I run 225 / 45’s on the rear and to fit them in I need that extra room. I sure would not cut the fender just for aesthetics. I like the grip the 225’s have. With the either the Toyo R888 or Kumho V710 slicks it is outstanding. The Falken RT 615 205's won't hold even close to the other two. They are much better in the wet though. The compound is much harder and should wear better if that is what you want. The Rt 615 is stil a great tire for the $$.
  22. Very neat find. I think I drove a few of those in a bumper car ride as a kid. He must have removed the electrical pick-up though.
