    hmmm... WTF

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/americas/05/30/brazil.tribes/index.html Looking at the photos of the story, they're looking at the damn helo or plane taking the pic. Wouldn't that constitute "contact"?
  2. The real way to decide is to get a standard chassis and a SV next to each other and sit in each - figure out if you need the extra room the SV provides. Perhaps you should contact the Cat dealer in Delaware. He may have one of each handy for you to compare. If not, I know there are examples of each in the DC area. If you offer the owners a beer...

    Joke

  4. A woman went to her priest with a problem. "Father, I have two female parrots, and they only know how to say one thing. All they ever say is, 'Hi, we're prostitutes. Wanna have some fun?' " "That's terrible!" exclaimed the priest. "But I think I can help. Bring your two female parrots over to my house, and I will put them with my two male parrots whom I taught to pray and read the Bible. My parrots will teach your parrots to stop saying that terrible phrase, and your female parrots will learn to praise and worship." The next day, the woman brought her female parrots to the priest's house. His two male parrots were holding rosary beads and quietly praying in their cage. The woman put her two female parrots in the cage with the male parrots. The females said, "Hi, we're prostitutes. Wanna have some fun?" One male parrot looked over at the other male parrot and exclaimed "Put those beads away, our prayers have been answered!"

  6. The local SCCA instructor (and he is really good) gave me some advice... he said use the same tires all around and use suspension / air pressure to tune. Obviously I didn't listen, since I have a need to put some power down.

    tough crowd
  8. want to comment on BEC vs. CEC. It's so hard to resist :leaving: Personal opinion: stick with car engine, stick with cars that are well sorted and well known (solid axle or IRS), stick with the car that you fit in well, stick with something that doesn't have all exotic parts that are hard to find in the US.

Styling is a little too busy for me. I keep waiting for the image above to transform.
  10. I logged in and clicked on Overall rating. Then it gave me several categories and one of them was UTCC. I gave 'em all 5s... even aerodynamics
  11. Yup. I'm good on the rest of the things you mentioned. I think I'm just going to try increasing my arm lengths to 14" from 9".
  12. It's missing one: http://blog.tmcnet.com/blog/tom-keating/images/easy-button.jpg
  13. Ouch. But with Bon Jovi, there are alot of their songs I like.
  14. elfish may be confused with selfish, or shellfish
  15. I can go from 9" to 14" and be pretty conventional. I think the longer the better.
  16. If it makes you feel any better, my vette had to be towed back to the dealer with 12 miles on the clock according to GM warranty records
  17. rear suspension link (what did you think I was going to ask?) particularly interested in 4 link suspension setups. Rotus came with 9" links, which seem really short to me. I have the opportunity of going to 14" by changing the chassis pickup points. Seems like most locosts are 11.5 - 12".
  18. Leg room?
  19. who have had many hits and been around for while, whose music you don't care for particularly, but they have done that one song that you can't get out of your head. I probably have several of those, but the one I'm listening to right now is Willie Nelson - Always on My Mind.
  20. ... and you stopped and picked them up again - because it's not nice to litter
  21. Yes, you're in the right section. It would help if you post up some pics of the car. What size shoes do you wear?
  22. We've had 2 Hondas over the years. First was an '88 Prelude Si my wife had when we met. I loved that car. Something about the low dash, driving position, and engine. F***ing timing belt broke at 130K miles because the stealer had not replaced it at the maintenance interval. We kept that till 180K miles before selling it. 2nd is our current Odyssey. Pretty happy with it, although, at 4600 lbs, it's a damn pig. Again, the engine is very nice. I will just have to have a high revving 4 banger and a lumpy V8 in my fleet though. Something about the brute force keeps me coming back, and my LSx engines have also been very reliable - and they live a hard life.
  23. There are certain elements of your design that came out very nice. Like the overall windshield design, particularly with the larger radius round corners. What engine is in it? Also what diameter exhaust pipe? I really like that you ran it to the back. I really have to examine that for mine, but I'm afraid with 3.5" exhaust pipes, that'll be tough to do.
  24. Hey, that's what i've been saying all along, on a slightly bigger scale Yes, the extra mass does get you something on a properly designed engine. It gives you either a factor of safety (reliability), or room to expand on the power output, depending on how you want to look at it.
