  1. oh man, that sucks. have you tried driving with no shoes (or driving with driving shoes)?
  2. Sigh. I hate it when once in a lifetime opportunities are missed due to my tardiness. I will sit here and wait for the next email
  3. I guess I'll put Frankn7 up for sale and start shopping for that Carrera GT I've lusted after -- Good Day I am Mr. Patrick Chan, Executive Director and C.F.O of the Hang Seng Bank Ltd. I have a concealed business suggestion for you. Gen Khalid Ali Abdullah who was with the Iraqi forces and also businessman made a fixed deposit for 18 calendar months, with a value of USD$24.5 Million only in my branch. Several maturities notices was sent to him, before the war which began in 2003. also after the war another notification was sent and no response came from him. We later found out that the General along with his wife and only daughter had been killed during the war in a bomb blast that hit their home. After more inquiry it was also discovered that this General did not declare any next of kin in his official papers. And he also confided in me the last time he was at my office that no one except me knew of his deposit in my bank. What bothers me most is that according to the laws of my country at the expiration of 6years the funds will revert to the ownership of the Hong Kong Government if nobody applies to claim the funds. I want you to know that I have everything planned out so that we shall come out successful. There is no risk involved at all in this matter, as we are going adopt a legalized method and the attorney will prepare all the necessary documents. Should you be interested send me the following;Full names, private phone number, current residential address and I prefer you reach me on my private email address below after which I shall provide you with more details on this operation. Your earliest response to this letter will be appreciated. Kind Regards, Mr. Patrick Chan. Email: (patrick000chan@yahoo.com.hk)
  4. You got your priorities straight
  5. Nice job on the Viper at the strip
  6. Yeah, if i add up all my hardware store trips plus parts, i have about that much in my car, not counting hundreds of hours of labor, and it's still a pile of metal. This is a fantastic deal.
  7. Arya, I think diesel is around $4.70
  8. damn... 166 over the hump :willy: I've only done parade laps at VIR. It'll take me some time to keep my foot down over the hump there. As I recall you can't see over the hump until you're at the top, then down the hill and have to lay on the brakes for a left hander, right?
  9. not sure, but they did (maybe do?) hold the record for fastest street legal car at the ring. Not sure what engine was in that car though.
  10. This is a killer deal. If I show up at home with another seven in another trailer, the cost of my funeral will be prohibitive.
  11. Follow the link in here: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/Default.aspx?g=posts&t=2488 You have to register for the magazine. At the end, 211 > R500 > Atom 300 in terms of lap times.
  12. so, what was the highest recorded speed for the week?
  13. In that price range, the choice of engine is a bit disappointing. I thought it was going to have a bike based V8 in it or something. Wonder if they'll sell at that price (Paul and Dino will pull their hairs out )
  14. AND DID YOU SEE THAT IT'S ORANGE ?
  15. Great vid! Nice spin. Compared to the way the R500 was driven in the mag, you looked very smooth.
  16. She's pretty heavy. I'll know in a month or so for sure, after all the changes. I'm hoping for around 1600. I'd be happy with that.
  17. Congradulations. Steve's seven is an amazing car. Classy, clean... well, you know all of that first hand now. Since you're not far from Steve, you'll have to pick him up and join us in the mid atlantic cruises.
  18. http://www.usa7s.com/forum/uploads/20061103_054718_IMG_1310_Small.JPG
  19. Sigh... Steve, It's hard to imagine you without a Seven. What will you drive now when it's 30 degrees outside?
  20. I'm currently running standard C5 Z06 wheels (free to me, since I had them already). 305 18's in the back. 275 17's in the front.
  21. looks like the aero of the 211 more than made up for its lower power/weight ratio. These cars (atom and seven) need some downforce at high speed to help with the grip. I guess 7evin can tell us all about how much of an advantage the wing provided.
  22. everybody keeps telling me my car is over-tired. I'm sure it's true for autox, but it's reassuring to see you guys feel you need more tire.
  23. Kid's baseball games are on Saturdays. Perhaps I can break free on a Sunday morning if you're around. You might as well find the injector part number and see if any local parts stores have them in stock, just in case that's the problem.
