  1. I usually go there once a year, either spring or fall, either in the vette or rotus, on some kind of cruise. It's not a speed demon road, but it's scenic, relatively close to me, and things for kids to do up there. Last year, I decided to go to snowshoe instead... much better driving roads (not filled with bicycles and 30 MPH speed limits)
  2. Sweet!!!!!!! Just checked VIR weather... it looks like its rainy here today, but forecast looks dry for VIR. Hopefully Organic Racing will move up a spot today. VIR forecast: Today: Fair. Lo: 62°F. Hi: 85°F. Chance of precipitation: 10%
  3. I lusted after my actual car (yes, the very same one I ended up buying in 2005) for many years. The first time I sat in that car was back in 1990. Forgot all about it, and saw it for sale accidently many years later.
  4. Ran across this little video of the skyline drive cruise in '06. coming up on 2 years later... Orange is changing hands, and the green Rotus... well, it's no longer green and no longer a Rotus
  5. Chillis is fine with me... I'm bringing myself (unless Arya can work miracles, no frankn7)
  6. Considering the types of cars ahead of them, it is impressive.
  7. cool. Im not sure I'd be able to push my seven in the rain like that. 7evin is da man.
  8. Thanks for the link. Ultralite is listed 5th in the drag race  I wonder what the track conditions were. Times seem a little out of whack. Skyline only ran a 12.8, Hennessey viper only 11.5. Would have expected both of those to do better.
  9. So, what were the ET and trap speeds? :bigears: How is the skyline doing? With all the rain, AWD, and so much hype about that car, it should be really up there
  10. I can't wait... should've done it last year.
  11. Good work! What's the top speed you reach in the autox?
  12. :leaving: (although in the past, they've always had spare parts from customer cars)
  13. Dude is tough! Hopefully he's feeling better. Sounds like the event is going very well.
  14. Dermot, I can not recall where mine were purchased. They're 4.5 hours away from me at the moment, but I've been pretty happy with them. They don't look nearly as nice as the ones posted by Stan here though.
  15. Welcome aboard and thanks for posting those. The 2nd one is Autopro's car. Solid car. I don't think the taillight is missing

I'm sure Ambien made her lie about it
  17. Michael D keeps telling me that... once you try it, you'll never go back. I just can't stomach the cost of slicks for the limited life. In my tire sizes, tires are an investment.
  18. Huge help as usual. Thanks
  19. K. Is 70 mm the diameter of the pattern or the radius? also, do you know what size holes (even roughly)?
  20. sounds like a fun day. you might want to try some Rcompound street tires like Toyo R888 or RA1's, so you can run them on the street as well as the track. They're not as good as slicks, but stick much better than regular tires. By the way, if you only spun and hit one cone, you're not qualified to use Boxologist's smilie. You have to earn that right by doing something worthy, like wiping out timing equipment while yelling yeeeehaa
  21. Are there any standard bolt patterns for mounting steering wheels? The one I bought needs to be drilled, and I'm not ready to replace my steering shaft assembly this time around, so I'm just going to adapt it to my existing assembly. I want to drill it, so in the future, it'll be compatible with off the shelf stuff.
  22. I knew all along that's what Al had in mind for Orange
