  1. i'm not a big fan of the opening in the hood, just to see a plastic engine cover. rumors on the interweb are that the engine is underrated, and even if it's not, it's not hard to crank up a few ponies by playing with pullies. There is a guy around here that has a current generation Z06 - ALL black, including the wheels, and LOWERED. Seeing that sucker coming at you in the rear view mirror gets your attention!
  2. In the quarter, I have a good shot... after 150, hell no. autox, probably. Road racing, probably not... aero is not my friend (nor do I have the brass balls it takes to push my car that fast)
  3. :hurray: hell yeah! Too bad they droped the displacement back down to 6.2L  620-650 hp. It didn't say the weight, but it should be very similar to the Z, which is around 3100 lbs. 4.7 lb/hp is pretty impressive for a production car with all the bells and whissles. Wish I had one next to the seven.
  4. For autox, maybe a huge rear wing will accomplish what you need. Something removable.
  5. That's how my old one feels like
  6. Starting work on the backplane... Dual tubes will run across the top. These will have a plate on top to serve as upper shock mount and seat belt mount. Rollbar will also mount to this point. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1217000745_shockmount.jpg A single, similarly bent tube will run in line with the transmission tunnel tubes. Tranny tunnel tubes will connect to it, and braces will run back to the back of the frame (right behind the axle from there) diagonally this shows the tranny tunnel top tubes and the back top tubes http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/218108108_shockmount2.jpg
  7. well, not all of them... YouTube Video
  8. Wow... quite a story. Dealers don't end up on the short end very often.
  9. Same to you. It's been an amazing year watching this thing grow, and personally my family has enjoyed good health, so all is good. Merry Christmas everyone
  10. :rofl::rofl:
  11. Tom, congrats on the new toy! definitely an early Christmas present.
  12. [/the truth]
  13. His present is currently being used to lift my engine (2 ton collapsable engine hoist). But since he is a starving college kid and a good nephew, I'm also paying him a little $ for the work.
  14. What model MOMO is this? I really like the looks
  15. I think 10" will be too small for my leverage needs (busa inserts joke here) My current wheel is 13". If I go with 12" D shape, it'll be ideal It's been years since I've had a suede wheel... that's a requirement too. Currently bidding on a round 11" Spa suede wheel on ebay, but may let that go if I get outbid.
  16. I've put in a remote internet camera in the shop to make sure he keeps his offroad parts away from my car  ... and Arya is aware of the spring deadline. The hood is in question, but I'm pretty sure the rest of the car will be operational.
  17. Right there is the actual solution to your problem. Time to move
  18. I read the article as well. Nicely done, and welcome aboard.
  19. Mine is an old 13" Formuling steering wheel. Last time I saw it my friend was driving away with it. Fortunately I had the camera handy: http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/2031562458_CIMG2033.JPG I'm looking for something smaller, and possibly D shaped. Right now bidding on a Spa Alpha suede wheel.
  20. MY GOD! that wheel is HUGE! How do you fit it into your seven???
  21. pics would be nice.:bigears:
  22. I was there last weekend for the cutting ceremony. I will be there 4 or 5 days with family over the holidays. Will probably go a couple more times in Jan / Feb... but this is mostly the Arya show as far as fabrication goes.
  23. A pair of these little puppies are on their way :yesnod: http://www.schoenfeldheaders.com/pictures/fordch4.gif They will require a little rework, but should generally fit.
  24. Wow, THAT was different. Tough road.
  25. Yours is safe
