  1. There is a greenish bug in cincy I saw with the plate SNOTROD
  2. not car related, but this story I heard of sports talk radio impressed me http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/columns/story?columnist=hays_graham&id=3372631&lpos=spotlight&lid=tab5pos1
  3. Very cool. Very 'spensive I think too. Wonder how it competes price wise with the tesla.
  4. http://www.pullapart.com/ for those with time and that don't mind getting a bit dirty, though I has of yet to see a Seven of any type on the lot, I do see fleets of cars that dream about it (donors )
  5. If you dont have it already, may consider a turbo type oil cooler if it starts to run warm on you. One with a built in thermostat/bypass so the engine does not run to cool either. They are about the size of small intercoolers and can be placed just about anywhere. The carbon wings, can they be filled with foam to stop the flex? Seems a big waste not to use them. http://www.uscomposites.com/foam.html http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1235608497_RX7 Oil Coller.jpg http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/414752198_Thermostat Housing.jpg
  6. Still, thats pretty slick!
  7. Man, all these numbers. Big or small, at least they are running and driving.....well, at least they have been driven in the past. I just hoping mine does not blow up the first few times I start it. I will be in BIG trouble after "justifying" some of the purchases I have made and already exceeding my spending limit if it goes boom and destroys something.
  8. You cannot import it as a kit? Say you built it?
  9. As some have discovered, a pipe bender does not work as well as a tubing bender. I am tempted myself for the cost, but the kinks most leave won't pass tech from what I am told.
  10. There are some pretty mice multi tools out there, even ones that come with assorted sockets built in. May want to check out the motorcycle tool kits. Just make sure it has the ones that fit your nuts, bolts fuses etc and you will be set. Nice thing about so many new metric bikes is the proliferation of stuff like tool kits for them. Oh yeah, duct tape. Something I carry in my semi, that I will have a small roll of when going to the track is what we call 100 mph tape. Its a heavy duty aluminum foil with a very heavy, tar like adhesive backing. Once its there, its damn near permanent. Useful for plugging holes, or damaged bodywork. Just have to be careful, as the edge while laying it out is sharp. You see it on semi trailers covering up holes in them. hmmmmm wonder how hard it would be to use the on-star out of a donor vehicle..........
  11. Perhaps, along the lines the the watch many of us purchased, a donation to charity with the calender purchase? With cool pics of nice 7's (would be nice imo to try to get a cool pic or multiple pics of each "brand". Lotus {all the series}, Caterhams, Westfields, WCM's, Birkins, Stalkers, Leitch's, S1's, Deman's, assorted Locosts, Locust's and any others that we could think of. Of course with appropriate permissions etc. So a small bit to the 7's group, a hopefully good donation to a good charity and we all get a pretty cool calender.
  12. Gah, after a few minutes of that, it would be clean up in aisle seven for me. Congrats guys!
  13. More people, leads to more info, parts listings etc. Hopefully to more sevens making them eventually as common as they are in the UK (Price wise too!) And on to eventual WORLD DOMINATION!! *In best Hudson Hawk voice....
  14. Carefully read the rules first. Or, as someone told me, you could build yourself right into A-Mod. They are pretty specific about size's there.
  15. Your not to far from Jeg's main store's in Columbus. I imagine they would be more than happy to let you look at what they have. Carry all of Kirkey's seats i think. Call up and see whats in stock, then could see what fit you and your car best.
  16. Hehehe as a past Jeep owner, and having owned a similar yota truggy I do understand. Looked fun, and like you needed a bit more gear. I went out one day, couldn't open my tool box, the frame had rusted through so its a donor on multiple trucks now.
  17. I am pretty impressed that Cosworth is taking care of it like that. (I hope they are paying)
  18. Mine's working so far, but do not wear it that often. Need a bit bigger watch band to be more comfortable so its more of a deco piece for me. Prob will not buy another, I like the old one more.
  19. I do not think it will matter that much, looks like there is enough of an air gap for the radiator to get some air behind those tanks. And other ways, like on top would require cutting the hood. Hehehe Though I think adding that big ol wing has already altered the lines of the car. Lookin good! Looking forward to your write ups on this years runs.
  20. Is plan B extending the hood bulge, or adding a scoop/naca duct or something and mounting the horizontally above and behind the radiator? Seems to be a good gap there, where the scoop would force air through and down through the engine compartment. Pain to plumb with the one you have unless where you got it would exchange.
  21. I remember on your write up you had problems with the previous rear of the car during one of the races. Are you planning on a cooler or something for back there, or figure it was a fluke and not real concerned? Or a completely different rear?

  23. Well, after a bit of searching, and I have no idea what the value of the car is (kinda hard to judge the value of many sevens) found it also listed on craigslist. Its listed at $20500. . http://sarasota.craigslist.org/car/605538007.html
  24. As far as the market, I am not doing to bad, not a record year, but not a bad one either. Biggest thing affecting our budget is fuel prices. But as the raised fuel prices filter to all other markets, and that 2 liter of coke goes from $1.19 to $2.19 I am sure that will change. I am probably wrong, but I think things will balance out when our fuel prices are on par with Europe and Canada. Stocks, etc should do the same thing. I'll leave the bigger numbers to folks smarter than me. LOL, perhaps that should be a requirement for elected office, prove that you can live and balance a budget on McDonald's wages for a period of time.
  25. A example of our country is the quicky loan/title loan/paycheck advance etc chains that seem to have multiplied in the past 15 years. With so many families living above their means, and doing so living paycheck to paycheck. With these thieving companies more than willing to give cash to people they KNOW will have problems paying at back at an interest rate that even a mafia loan shark would look at and shake his head. So they start the cycle of borrowing to live, but eventually, both Peter and Paul come to the door at the same time wanting their money. I ran into the credit card problem when my wife and I first got married. Not bothering to read the fine print, that low interest starting rate of 9 percent (not that low now that I am bit wiser) jumped to 24.99 percent after a missed payment. With associated fee's, when you only make about 300 bucks a week, that was incredibly difficult to pay back on a 4k and growing credit card debt. I shudder thinking about these people now living in that same trap with 50k credit card bills, and the home loan sector doing to them about the same thing that the loan shark wannabes are doing to the poorer folks. Living above our means, and not paying attention just about ruined our marriage. I had seen many relatives fall into the trap mentioned above and thankfully we dug ourselves out of the hole without having to go to any of those money lenders. IMO, the government is not really that different, just on a bigger scale. Heh, except they are bailing out the money lenders that are having problems now that the people with bad credit are not paying back the money they owe. Gotta wonder who is going to bail out the Government when its ARM comes due. *Imagine the rate of interest charged for the White House*
