  1. Nordakota Cow Ole is a farmer in Minnesota. He needs a new milk cow and hears about one for sale over in Nordakota. (That would be North Dakota for you non-Scandahoovians out der). He drives to Nordakota, finds the farm and looks at the cow. He reaches under to see if she gives milk. When he grabs the teat and pulls...the cow farts. Ole is surprised. He looks at the farmer selling the cow, then reaches under the cow to try again. He grabs another teat, pulls, and the cow farts again. Milk does come out however, so after some discussion, Ole buys the cow and takes her home. He gets back to Minnesota, he calls over his neighbor Sven, and says, ' Sven, come look at dis ere new cow I yust bought. Pull her teat, and see vat happens.' Sven reaches under, pulls the teats - and the cow farts. Sven looks at Ole, 'You bought dis ere cow in Nordakota, didn yah?' Ole is surprised since he hadn't told Sven about his trip. Ole replies, 'Yah, dats right. But how'd yah know?' Sven says, 'My wife's from Nordakota.'
  2. Congrats on the new WCM SK2. Pictures, please. The Miata oil pan in my Caterham has less than 2.5" road clearance. I can get it in and out of my trailer without scraping as the trailer has a beaver tail inside the back door/ramp that allows the oil pan to pass the break over point between the ramp and beaver tail before it ramps on up to the normal floor. I don't have to unhook the trailer to do this. I am very careful about road debris and haven't had a problem, however when a friend was driving the car and was pulling into a parking spot that had a speed bump in front of it I was yelling go left, go left and we went over the speed bump anyway and smacked the oil pan hard. I got out and expected to find a puddle of oil under the car but there wasn't even a drop, When I got home I put it up on the lift and inspected for cracks but didn't find any, just some of the fins on the bottom of the cast aluminum were worn down a bit.
  3. Body is made of that new energy absorbing material pb.
  4. Quick, hot wire it and take a test drive and let us know what you think about it.
  5. A woman goes into the Bass Pro Shop to buy a rod and reel for her grandson's birthday. She doesn’t know which one to get so she just grabs one and goes over to the counter. A Bass Pro Shop associate is standing there wearing dark shades. She says, "Excuse me, sir. Can you tell me anything about this rod and reel?" He says, "Ma'am, I'm blind; but if you'll drop it on the counter, I can tell you everything from the sound it makes." She doesn’t believe him but drops it on the counter anyway. He says, "That's a six-foot Shakespeare graphite rod with a Zebco 404 reel and 10-LB test line. It's a good all-around combination and it's on sale this week for only $20.00." She says, "It's amazing that you can tell all that just by the sound of it dropping on the counter. I'll take it!" As she opens her purse, her credit card drops on the floor. Oh, that sounds like a Master Card," he says. She bends down to pick it up and accidentally farts. At first she is really embarrassed, but then realizes there is no way the blind clerk could tell it was she who tooted. Being blind, he wouldn't know that she was the only person around. The man rings up the sale and says, "That'll be $34.50 please." The woman is totally confused by this and asks, “Didn’t you tell me the rod and reel were on sale for $20.00? How did you get $34.50?" He replies, "Yes, Ma'am. The rod and reel is $20.00, but the Duck Call is $11.00 and the Bear Repellent is $3.50."
  6. That's a good plan. Or you could take it to Flyin Miata and have them install it in one of their Exocets, they have just about completed one with an LS6 so they should have it all figured out by now.
  7. Paul, Rent, borrow or steal a trailer and tow the Seven behind the motorhome. A rental car isn't going to be much fun on Pikes Peak unless they are renting Hellcats or Ferraris. :hurray: I will be towing my Caterham to LOG so I can bring along the Baby 7 in the back of the truck. The club stopped by the event hotel in Colorado Springs and we got a tour of the facility. It looks to be very convenient for Sevens and trailers as well as the people.
  8. Ran across this on another forum and thought it would be handy for Sevens. http://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-201U-A Under Products they have all kinds of accessories to mount other things than mirrors.
  9. If anyone wants to come early or stay late I would be happy to show you some of our choice canyons up North in the Boulder to Estes Park area. We could even do a two or three day loop up through the mountains that you won't see during the LOG.
  10. It had a Ford V8 in it, not sure of the year. I've tried to track it down and although several people in the area know of the car no one remembers the owner's name or who might own it now.
  11. Its been paved to the top for a few years now. I drove my Caterham up it with the Lotus club a couple of years ago. We had an early start and had a brisk, fun drive to the top. If you want to drive it yourself at fairly brisk speeds, come to LOG 35 this coming August. One of the events will be a group drive up Pikes Peak. We will be the first cars on the mountain that day, led by a professional racer in an Elise. The city of Colorado Springs owns the road and we have an agreement to be the first on the mountain that day and they understand we will not be observing the speed limit. All Se7ens are welcome at LOG 35 http://log35.com/.
  12. Rich, I like the look of that hose tool to the left of the box. I have several but not one with the reverse hook. Is it a SnapOn item?
  13. I think he means inches (of mercury) of vacuum which is enough to do damage. I'm not surprised an aluminum tank collapsed a bit. I'd never heard of using vacuum to fill a cooling system until now.
  14. Happy New Year to all you Se7en loving crazies! We're a great bunch of people.

  16. Being color blind would likely be a requirement for ownership.
  17. What he said. A real treat. Every time I have been there we had to clear the restroom and guard the door so the ladies could have a look see.
  18. Another item I checked off was a really good whale watching event. I have gone on many whale watching boats but never got close enough to see any detail. On the way to Laguna Seca last summer some friends and I went whale watching in kayaks off a pier just below San Simeon. The humpback whales were doing their bubble blowing in a circle trick close to shore and we paddled out close to them. It was like a watery circus. The whales breaching and tail slapping and thousands of sea birds were flying in a huge circle around where the whales were bringing up the fish. Thousands more sitting on the water and pelicans were dive bombing all around us. It was a truly awesome event. As we headed to Monterrey we made several stops along the PCH, one to see the elephant seals lounging all over a beach. We even got in several stretches of spirited driving along the PCH.
  19. I just added the Skyscraper to my list. Pass on the plank walk in the sky hike. I checked off two items this year, drive on the Laguna Seca track and own a V8 Miata.
  20. If I hadn't just bought the V8 Miata I would have bought the XI. I love those cars. I probably would have put a Miata engine in it rather than the BMC.
  21. Twin sons of different mothers?
  22. Great video with English subtitles. The Panelbeater on Vimeo With thanks to Russ, a Christmas present to all us gearheads.
  23. I wonder if the driver is related to the guy in Colorado who totaled his Hellcat in the first hour of ownership.
  24. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the good people on this forum.:party::party:
  25. The Rambler Ranch SE of Denver has an amazing collection of cars but they have a boneyard with about 400 cars out among the trees. The photo gallery doesn't do it justice.
