Ok, scrap the open trailer idea. Yellow is topless

Good Morning, Ian's idea of hiring someone for transport is a great idea. From my past dealings with transport, hiring an open trailer is a LOT cheaper. I woke up today and found my wife on the LOG site, so thats a very good sign of we are going. She liked the video, and said it looked like a fun trip. Too Easy !!!!! Happy Holidays to all!! Steve

This seems like a good excuse to make a road trip. If the S1 is welcome, I would like to bring it with me. Sorry Ian, but I to will tow down there, ( Old, beat up lower back). From all I have seen and read, seems like my kind of place. :)Steve

So What is the Status of your 7 now that WINTER is here?
S1Steve replied to MHKflyer52's topic in General Sevens Discussion
S1 Status, I went on Sunday for a ride. I choked and left the top on, low 40's, runs great in this cool weather. As soon as it snows and gets salt on the road, then I'll stop till it clears up. But I do drive it on decent days in the winter. Steve  -
Looks like the same car I looked at over the summer, at Don Rosen Porsche. http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1329258847_Westy SE 002.jpg As for the 100 grand thing !!!!

Bruce, This S1 was listed on E-Bay a few weeks ago with a higher price. Mine is also a 2002, but with almost 13000 miles on it. So I would say the one listed is almost brand new with only 900 miles. I don't know who the owner is, but I would think he or she would do better listing it right here. I have seen a silver one before and it was very sharp. Happy Bidding, Steve:eek:

Randall, Welcome to the site. Your story has let all of us know that you are not right, so you will fit in here fine. That trip sure got you in touch with your new 7, Enjoy it often!!!! Steve:cheers: Randall I almost forgot, Thats a Great looking 7!!:yesnod:

I put the top on today, and thats about all it needs. I seem to work on it year around, and I'll drive it till the weather turns bad.I had it out for a blat today with the top on and had alittle heat. The heater really sucks, but it's still fun to drive. Steve:d

Thats a BadAss 7, What color is it, NICE, drive that over near Pa. on Sunday and I'll drag out the S1 and meet you somewere. Best of Luck and enjoy it:hurray: :hurray: Steve

Mazda, I am on my second GMC Envoy. The first had over 100.000 on it,only thing it like to eat was rotors. It did save me when a full dump truck ran into to me going to work. So I had it fixed, and traded it in on a 08. GMC's are well built and both Envoys towed very well. Our friend tows two BIG horse's with her 99 Yukon, and won't get rid of it. She claims it's the best tow rig she ever had. :yesnod: Steve

Hi, First, Thanks Mazda for the tune up on the site. Second, Just got back from the vintage races, lot's of 7's and other Lotus's. Plus, Fangio's Alfa. Enjoy !! Andrew7, You give some great insight on the pros and cons of a BEC. I never thought about a engine made to push a #400 bike, installed in a #1000 car. I went the other route and installed a car engine in a 7( Zetec in a S1) Well just want to say Thanks for a well written post. Steve

Hi Mazda, Seems like things are running slower, and I can't upload photo's.For a while I thought it was just my brain moving slow, still may be the case !!! Thanks, Steve:crazy:

While I am on a roll, ;;What turned each of us on to a 7
S1Steve replied to DB6's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Well it could be a long story , but I'll make it short. Alway had a thing for anything English, and I had a few Mg's, a Norton bike,a Mini Cooper S,TR4 and a Winkelman FF that I ran auto-X and solo1.I used to drive the FF around the streets of my house, and my Dad said, Don't they make something like your Winkelman that you can drive on the street Legally,. I said Yes , that would be a Super 7. Years latter at the 2000 F1 race at Indy, I sat in one of the first S1 , and said thats it, I must get one. Thanks Dad !! -
I finally saw another 7 on the road!!!
S1Steve replied to yellowss7's topic in General Sevens Discussion
Hi, Seems like they are all over. I may be having Simon up from Delaware with his new to him S1. If he makes it up this weekend, I will post some photo's. I would like to meet up with the gent that lives close to Tom also. Good eyes Tom !!! Steve:cheers: -
A great start for the new track, as the Rolex and Grand Am tour was the opening act for NJMP. My son Chris and I were happy to see what a great place it is turning into. I have seen the Prototypes at the Glen and Daytona, but at NJMP you can get alot closer and you see how fast they really are. I have lot's of photo's, but I'll show Chris's favorite and mine and the Winner from Michael Shank Racing. Happy Holiday, Steve http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1229534144_Millville Race Track 002.jpghttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/466720026_Millville Race Track 005.jpghttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/182261529_Millville Race Track 035.jpg

The Speed Channel said it"s Scott Pruett, and that he has hurt his back, I wish him a fast recovery. Look forward to getting down there on Sunday and enjoying a new track. Steve

I like the Piloti shoes, and wear them alot.I get the Griot'Garage Handbook in the mail, and I seem to get new ones at X-mas and birthdays. I also have a pair of G-Force nomex high tops for track days ,but seem to wear them more and more. They are hot, sweaty and I would not wear them to a bar or what ever, they work well thought.:yesnod: Steve
