  1. After having owned 7 British cars, and a Winkleman Formula Ford, a March FA, for a short time. No cash to rebuild the blown BDA while in College. I wear this tee-shirt with pride, knowning that I still don't know a damm thing about a Lucas wiring harness, and were it goes, and what it works.

Hi Mazda, I'm with Jerry and Skip. Steve
  8. Rod, You did a great job building your car, it looks bad ass !!!!
  9. Hi Mazda, Three different body types, Cabriolet, speedster, nice ones are big $$$$ targa, very common. I have been looking at early long hood cars ,up to 1973. Most that are in my price range,20k, are rusty. I have two places that I like to explore. Pelican Parts.com, and the Porsche Early 911s Registry. And of course there is E-bay just to see what is out for sale. EVERYONE I have spoke with about buying a early 911, said one thing, Get a someone that really knows early 911's to go over it , before you buy it. Hope this can be of some help, Steve
  10. Thanks for sharing these great shots, and you had a nice turnout of cars !!!
  11. Nice !!!!! I would trade in mine for that.
  12. Thanks for the invite, I'll have to see what comes up as it gets closer. WTR would be cool to see. I'll pack the top this time, and I know Croc has his brake lights in working order, LOL. And it would be nice to see everyone.
  13. Hats off to you guys doing big winter up-dates, I have no modding going on. I am happy the S1 ran great this year , so I'll give it a wash and wax, put the top on . I am itching to put a bigger hp engine in it, get rid of the Web-Con FI. But I need to do the planning and details alot better than before, and then there's the $$$$, do I really need more power. Maybe !!!!!!!
  14. Yup, Out last night to the last car show of the season for me, not to cold. This morning Betsy and I drove over to New Hope Pa., for breakfast . The local BMW bike guys meet there, and always have a good show of all things BMW. The weather was in the 50's when we left our house at 8:00 am, no top, she was alittle chilled, I like this kind of temp. There are still some great weeks to come. Tom , I am in for Thanksgiving morning's Blat !!!!! Steve
  15. Those are great photo's, I never saw a photo of the wood in the frame before, thanks for sharing. body buck shot is the best !!!! Now I see why you did 2 tours !!!
  16. Hey Mazda, Your car looks really good in the first photo, the hood and windshield change up the naked lines that I am use to seeing. Do have front fenders for it ??? Are you going to use that scoop or just kicking around ideas.
  17. This car is the 1958 Lemans class winner !! Testing it today, for next years LeMans Classic Races.
  18. Hi, Here some photo's from the races that Tom and I attended today. Todays event was alot better than last year, great weather, plenty of great cars. Enjoy , Steve
  19. Hi Tom. I am still planning on Saturday. Hoping for a nice day so the rain won't drive the racers away. And it would be nice to drive the S1 down there with the top off. What are you going to drive, Porsche, #123, or other ??? Steve
  20. You put her in the seat , she loves it and is driving great. You are the real winner!!!! Enjoy your cooking !!!! LOL
  21. Sorry I missed you Tom, I just got back from a " Three Hour Tour". Loads of bikes and waves. No cool cars . Go Eagles !!!!!
  22. For those that go to Carlisle, check Kirkham out next year, there were 2 out on the show flield. These are built to over the top standards. Superformance builds nice Cobra's, but I think the Kirkhams are the best that MONEY can buy. I would love to have one. One tag said, RDMIG Steve
  23. Steve, The big problem is, doing all the work to build your own car, and getting it to the grid. Massive undertaking. Plus FIA said it has room for 3 new teams, and 4 to 6 said they would like a spot. I wish them all the best, The Lotus guys better call Cosworth Yesterday !!!!! If Cosworth does supply all these new teams, they are going to be hopping , I "ll check to see it they are trading on the stock market !!!! LOL ???? No really !!!! Steve
  24. Hi, I see that SVRA will be at New Jersey Motorsports Park on Oct. 1-4. I am planning to go again this year, and thought it be fun to meet up with other 7's. Lot's of of Lotus 7's and other cool cars. Sat. is the 3rd, thats the day I will be going. It's a good time and very laid back. If the weather is good, it will be a great day. Think about going, and Post Up !!!! Maybe Al will bring his new car !!!!! Steve
  25. I am back !!!!! Lots of fun, now we are going to Wildwood NJ for a long weekend, and then Betsy goes to Sweden and Denmark on Monday !! So to all that are going on Mazda's trip, have fun and take lots of Photo's for us stiffs that can't make it. Good luck keeping up with Franken7, Steve
