Glad to see you are taking it to the track and having fun. Well Done , Steve

Hi J.R., Well I am not sure what its worth, S1's don't come up for sale to often. I been looking at other 7's on the market, and they been asking around 25 , give or take. I read a new Caterham is $ 55.000 for the top of the line. So I'll say $30.000 ??? And if anything, It will give someone, something to talk about. I don't have to sell it, and I still enjoy it . But it sits most of the winter, and I thought maybe something that is more winter or cold weather friendly. READ- EARLY 911, 68 to 73 . Or maybe a single seater, FA, FB ?? Radical ?? But then I'm back to summer use only with a single seater. Thanks for asking . Steve

Dermot, The BEST thing I read every month is MOTORSPORT, The original motor racing magazine, since 1924. Printed in the U.K., and sold at Barnes& Noble. Simply the best mag for us petrol heads. Steve  Oh Boy , Just got kicked up to Advanced, 1000 more and I'll get my Jedi wings, NICE

Dermot, If you are looking for good reading, put LEGEND of the LOTUS SEVEN, and LOTUS SEVEN & THE INDEPENDENTS. Both by " Dennis Ortenburger ,on your list. I have both, and enjoy them. I will have to hang on to mine,as both were given as gifts from my Family. Enjoy, Steve Novelli

Dave , I've seen that MONSTER on E-Bay this morning, and thought if I sell my S1, that would be a fun 7 to replace it. Alot less plush, and lot more like a track car. I would like to know alot more about it. Steve

J.R., I never posted a price, Would you like to make an offer ??? Steve

To Pricey for a stock Zetec??? I paid $850 for a Zetec out of a wrecked Focus, and that was a complete running engine with 2800 miles on the clock.

I like to drive my 7 to most places we go, down the New Jersey shore most summer weekends with the wife. But Al's got a good point, I wanted to drive the old Watkins Glen road course last summer. And my two kids seem to like Vintage Racing, so we load the 7 on the trailer, two kids, 16 and 18, 75 pound lab, wife , me camping stuff, food, two women that like to travel heavy, dog food and god knows what else. It's a tight fit with the GMC Envoy. So to get it done I towed it. Not like my old camping trips, Packback was all it took!!!! Steve Novelli:nopity:

Sorry SW25, I got who I was sending crossed up. Glad to read that I am not the only English car guy, in the past we have had TR4's , 1275Cooper s, lot's of MGB's, English FF. And my father -inlaw has a TD, MGA, and a very nice 65 MGB, and when there is work to be done they leak on my driveway. If they don't leak, their empty !!! Cheers as they say, Steve

Mike, I used to Auto-x and solo 1 an old Formula Ford, and also had my ?'s on what makes it tick. I was limited on what I could to it , SCCA has rules about that. I found a place at the time in Wayne Pa., now they are in Fla. BAT Racing . The used to have tons of parts and Know -How on these engines. They are great engines, maybe alittle old school, but a good solid power plant. I do remember having a hard time finding a crankshaft, mine was not a up-rated block. Newer FF's use the uprated block. FF is still a big SCCA class, and they use the same engine, If you look down that road , you may find some answers. The fast fast guys have the engine built, and their are a few that do it very well. Ted Wenz,is the first name to comes to mind. I hope this helps, and if I find more detailed info, and I am going to look, I would be glad to help. I have to look in the garage, I may have info, I save all kinds of stuff, AKA, Pack Rat !!! Steve Novelli

This is the last photo, Promise !!! But it's a good one , John K tells of the Pocono fun, any 7 has to be a fun track car !!! The cars behind me always passed me on the BIG Nascar banks, and that is fun to see and hear them go by, and thru the road course I get ahead of a few, lap after lap ect...http://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/537712155_Pocono with the S1.jpg

Hi, I am going to sell it, time for something new, not sure what. This is a Superformance S1, has a Zetec with Web-Con FI. Type 9 gearbox from Mike Cotts in the U.K. 10670 miles, I have bought it new in 02" from Dynamic Motorsports in Ohio. I take very good care of this car and I don't even let my wife drive it. It runs great, looks like new, and would make someone Happy:hurray: for a long time. It's a great car and the S1 forum is AWAYS there for help with it. ( you have to own one to be a member) great guys. It has a top and doors, some what of a heater, Title from PA. in the safe. Thanks Steve Novellihttp://www.usa7s.com/aspnetforum/upload/1588514770_Valley Forge on Jan. 28, 2006 005.jpg The Blue S1 is Bob Ellis's from Montana, he was out to see his son in Pa.Thats the only time I've have seen two S1 together. Bob has been a Racer for a long time and gave me great driving tips and set up advice. Bob is a ACE !!

Tom, As a fan of early 911's, thanks to our friend Vern. Seems like a nice one,and it's already in the garage. You only live once and I plan on getting one some day. Go for it , Steve Novelli:thumbs:

EVOX, You may have missed the point ? These Supercars are so Fast and smooth, that before you know it you are going alot faster than you think ,or are use to. If you take a look at some of the web sites that show wrecked cars, You will see plenty of Lamborghines and others ,bent nicely around what ever came up to fast for the driver. Porsche, Likes it's new owners to attend Driving School at your local race track, so may you live to buy another, No, so you don't kill yourself and others. Sadly it has happened at Calif. speed way. What kind of Drives do I go on: Well I also have a little race track not to far, Pocono Racetrack, and for a $ 175 I can get up there and have more FUN than that &%$#@ Lambo drive will ever have, and it is as Safe as you make it. And I drive my 7 alot on the street, and I stay away from driving like a ASS HOLE !! Thanks, Steve Novelli

Those flyby shot are crazy, thats when you really get the feel for how fast that guy is moving. In car shots seem like they are just out for a drive. He looks like a young man, I hope thats his car, not Dad's new toy

Hi Mazda, If you are lonely, then I must be bored. Where's the Rotus, I see some big gray looking thing. And who was that walking the dog down the street ????
-
Brad, I went out to the garage and dug out my dyno sheets, I would post them if I could get this new &^#@% HP printer to work. My 7 has a stock Zetec, Web-con FI, cam timing gears, Superformance header, nothing else. First Dyno Run- Max Power- 128.9 Max Air/ Fuel-17.5 Second, Well dyno sheet says 35th, Max Power=139.2 Max Air/Fuel=17.5 Maybe JohnK will get into this tuning post, He tuned my car out in Ohio, and is very sharp with this subject . I will get him on the phone and maybe he can post a reply. We have been there !!! Steve Novelli

That has to be the nicest color combo that I have ever seen !! The more I look at it the more I like it. I hope you get lot's of great miles with it. Steve Novelli:thumbs:

Happy Thanksgiving, I never thought I get out for a ride today, it was 65 and nice here in Ambler Pa. Off with the top, and out to the back roads for a 2 hour tour. Days like today make owning a seven seem like the best thing I ever did. To all you fine men building your seven, Your day is coming !! Enjoy your Thanksgiving, and think of our troops !!!:flag: Steve Novelli

manik, I think the right number is 53, the doors work pretty good . They keep the wind off your lap on a cool or cold day. And you need all the help you can get, the heater works off the oil cooler, so until the thing warms up, it's cold. And when it warms up , the heater is useless. NICE !!!!!

Hi scannon, According to your first post it was a Mercedes Benz 450 sel, ( nice car), now it's a 275 gtb, ( even nicer car). So who was driving what !!!! I have never driven a 275 with paddles, you are correct.
