I use Royal Purple in my Zetec , it cost more than Mobil 1, but I don't know if it's any better. In the type 9 I use redline mtl, only because someone gave it to me. Oil filter, Purolator # l25230, because it's short, and I can't find the short FRAM ????? Hydrauics, Castrol Gt, and change it every spring, this past time I changed the Wilwood pads to a softer pad, and this advice came from another S1 owner, and made the car stop 75% better, but took some work on the balance bar to get the rears to stop locking up under HEAVY braking, they are great now ! In the rear, I used Castrol, and anti-slip, I would like to do an upgrade to the rear as I think that may be the weak link in the driveline, so far so good. Steve

I sent a email to Donkervoort Cars in the Netherlands a few years ago, and asked if they imported their cars to the States. They said no and have no plans to. I think they are AWESOME cars. My wife saw one in Denmark and said I would love the way they sound. I guess that means loud. I do know they are expensive. Steve

:iagree: I have been reading your posts over the last few weeks and have been saying to myself. This Buyer has been a "Gentlemen "in dealing with this Seller. I can only hope that you get your money back, and send up the RED flag that this seller is an asshole for the next person that may want his car !!! Please don't let this ruin you enjoyment of getting a 7 !!  -

Thanks for the web-site. Glad that you used the #27 for your car, good choice. When I was running my FF and my Mini, there was only one number that I would use. I just wish I had half the talent that the number deserves !!!! Another Museum that I can put on my " Go To" list, First is Donnington ! And I if I remain a good boy :blueangel: that will happen this summer.

Arya, My 16 year old son and I are reviewing what you are doing. He is a BIG fan of the seven type car, he and I have been on some good blasts in our 7, with it's Zetec. Now he has seen one with a V8, and it has him thinking what your uncles must be like. As I dropped him of for work tonight, he said " Can I get him a ride in that thing"? Keep the photo's and details of what you are doing posted, WE LIKE THEM Good Work !!!!! Steve Novelli -

JBH, Let me ask you, " How do you know about rebuilt Porsches". I would like to hear the story if it's not to painful for you and maybe me too !!!!!
-
JBH, Thanks for giving me that Web Site. Your reply is what I have be told by others that I have spoken to.But It's good to hear the same kind of thing about the early cars and also the latter. And I will take you up on your offer to help me get a good one. The big ? I get asked is how much do I plan on spending. I would like to spend $20.000 tops, and I've been told I can find a nice street car for that kind of money. The Condor green S I saw is the dream, but I can put a Duck tail on any 911 I guess. I let you know when I find one that I like and you can give me your take on it. Thanks again, Steve
-
JBH, Thanks for your input. I have never owned a Porsche. I have a good idea of what I am looking for, Early cars are what I am looking at. RUST, RUST, Rust, is all I hear to stay or as some say, Run away from !!!! Then people like yourself make a good case for latter cars that will not rust around you, and are easy to work on . So I am reading all of Pelican Parts Tech pages and talking to a few Porsche people that I have meet over the years. I keep looking and learning, and some time I will find what I like and can afford. Looking at cars is fun for me , I looked for a 7 for a few years till mine turned up. Feel free to give more input !!!! Happy Holiday, Steve Novelli

Hi Tom, Glad to hear your Porsche deal worked out, I hope you get as much fun with it as your 7. I looked at a 1979 911 SC today, not exactly what I am looking for, maybe I can hire you , you seem to broker nice deals. Enjoy it, just not tonight or Sunday, it's going to be foul ! Steve Novelli

Evil, You have to remember you are dealing with Penna. DOT. They need to clean house in Harrisburg. These are the same people that asked if my S1 was CRASHED TESTED, I said not yet !!!! Welcome Home, Steve Novelli:shocked:
